Luigi, a titular Mario Bro, is sidelined the entire time and then it happened to Rosalina too, the only character people were particularly dying to see, on top of ruining her backstory by making Peach her incredible sister.Peach is singlehandedly ruining everything people want out of these films but no one wants to admit it. First movie you don't even get to see the Bros go on an adventure, second one Rosalina doesn't even get to exist beyond establishing that Peach is now God. The only people who have a chance to be satisfied are Daisy's tomboy fags because the way they write Peach leans into how they'll write Daisy (who will just be more excited to fight people.)

It would've been far more endearing and cute to see them both against the odds and just managing to perservere despite everything. But instead she's a karate bitch who can solo armies and everyone has collectively decided it would be completely impossible to have Peach do anything and retain her personality. So no one will ever try anything of the sort and people who actually like Peach (she does have fans, and non-sexual fanart) will never get a fun adventure with her in a movie, even though we're going to have to keep seeing them pump out movies where the only real goal is "Peach goes on an epic quest for once!"
