I wish Matt hadn’t changed his mind on this. Having Marcy play an active antagonistic role in the Sasha/Anne conflict rather than being off to the side would’ve been kino.

Like how she felt Anne staying with her instead of going back with the Plantars at the end of 2A "made the most sense," have her be overall nice, but make her sort of subconsiously condescending towards Anne in that "let's do things my way because I'm smarter than you" way. Only now Anne has the confidence to push back against it (again, not in a overtly hostile way), which starts generating friction between them. Things quietly build up until True Colors, where Anne and Sasha's rejection after the reveal pushes Marcy to the point of erupting.
