Would this movie be improved a LITTLE bit if they at least got Tim Allen to do the voice? Exact same script and everything.

I mean sure, but a turd can only be polished so much.

No. They made a film about an astronaut instead of a film about a space ranger. It’s not the same character.

The movie is just too boring for kids (and adults)
Also Buzz wasn't likable In the film since they made him a jerk but incompetent.
The cartoon series was fine. Just use that as a basis and make it a big Space Opera with his wacky alien pals

Not really. Lightyear's problems aren't cosmetic, they're at the core of what it is. This should have been a campy, pulpy, tight, fun, action-packed, sci-fi adventure; it should have been Star Wars meets Flash Gordon with a dash of Buck Rogers - something a kid like Andy would enjoy and obsess about. Instead it was a fucking dour, padded, preachy therapyslop drama.

Easily the worst Pixar movie of the current decade. I doubt that will change.

Nothing was good about this movie.

The scene with the black girl who has a fear of space having to leap from door to door, which requires drifting in space, was really good.

I still haven't watched it but I enjoyed the trailer even if i prefer star man to be superman theme

Some dark ages productions found love after the fact(The Great Mouse Detective, Robin Hood). Even a relatively recent dud like Atlantis gets talked up. I wonder if movies like this, Elio, Strange World, or Wish will achieve cult status in the future. Or were these just so thoroughly bad that they’ll simply be forgotten like Adventurers 2 and The Good Dinosaur?

Andy would've been fucking sleeping at this movie
