I feel like homestuck is for a diferent generation and culture spectrum than mine, too hipster and ironic for my taste, and genuinally makes fun of stuff i enjoyed, where in these others mspfas it pays homage to what made homestuck so endearing, writes in a way that is more palatable and passionate for its characters and also are still able to encapsulate the little details and socialcultural storic events of a generation, the late 90s and the mid 2010s per say. At least I feel way more earger to read Sburb.exe and Sburb (1996) on its own in my phone or pc than I ever felt like in homestuck, where I needed to hear audio reading of this so I didnt felt like I was getting dragged to wait to something to happen in the next pages that would made me go "oh ok this is funny and reletable"

And her help leads to a big development for my little story, jade living with john in his house. I will have the lack of adults in their lives be a sort of theme of this whole thing.
The problem with using death of the author to justify your retroactive interpretations of a story is that there are a billion interpretations just as valid as yours that are equally unsupported by the text.Roxy is transmasc? John is transfem? Okay, there are interesting ways to look at the story from those lenses.But you could just as easily interpret the story through the lense of Dave being a racist, John being a colonialist despot, or Karkat being a voyeuristic pervert.If the authors intent doesn't matter then the number of ways the story can be interpreted is virtually infinite. And the only thing that makes one interpretation more "legitimate" is basically just group consensus, making analysis a glorified popularity contest.

With nowhere to go, and nothing to do, john is left to sit with himself, something he doesn't like doing at all. So he brings jade to try to reset normalcy of living with someone, but unfortunately that will only make their attraction more magnetic., He will also have to cope with the fact that everything he knows about manhood and being grown is basically from what small tidbits his father told/showed him, and movies, which will not be good for him in some occasions. I wanna see john exude some more negative traits, mostly because he doesn't know any better, more than just being "too nice".
