Why couldn't they just... make it GOOD?
>>153092738The new people they hired on thought it was good. That's the problem.
The S2 finale made me realize these new episodes are only entertaining when the boys are on-screen. The girls are simply too tryhard funny and Joan is a whole different character now.
I think I dropped on that queen bee episode. Should have been an direct continuation instead of that softreboot. trying to adapt the humour of the show that mocks melodramas to the modern ultra pc environment ruined characters like cleopatra and the new characters are pretty annoying, save for Colombo. The biggest flaw of the show is that they can't use Gandhi, season one of clone high was very much very formulaic and it was about the absurd drama trough the lenses of humour with Gandhi absurd antics being a pallet cleanser and helping with the pacing a lot. Without it the show is pretty boring, and is not like clone high was that good, this made it worse in my opinion. They tried to make the show way more violent also to be more adult I think? but is not like anyone cares about violence now a days, so it just made it jarring every time they went ultra violence when the first season never had that.
early 2000s humor and zoomer humor are just not compatible.
>>153092738clone high was a product of it's time.It was making of MTV's teen dramas. Current showrunners weren't there to experience it and legit hated abe instead of seeing the characters for what they truly are.Nu-clone high basically because the thing they used to mock. The whole show should have been canned by the sole fact they didn't bring Gandhi back.
>>153093360Yeah, it felt like they didn't understand the types of shows and episodes that Clone High was originally parodying and thus turned the show into something else. The whole spirit of the thing changed, because the world has changed. I wonder if even the original showrunners could've pulled it off. >The whole show should have been canned by the sole fact they didn't bring Gandhi back. Also true.
Why does the younger generation take cartoons so seriously? They start harassing people whenever a cartoon character they like does something mean. I don't understand it.They want adult cartoons to be filled with life lessons like preschool shows.
>>153093522>They want adult cartoons to be filled with life lessons like preschool shows.the rise of manchildren and horrible parenting started to take over the world. there is a lot more effeminate "men" who take everything seriously and lack social skills. they see something they dont like? they take it to heart and bitch and complain to the nearest one in charge. these people mock karens yet spiritually are one
>>153093360>becausebecame*
>>153092906>>153093360Why didn’t they simply follow through on revealing that Gandhi is actually a clone of Gary Coleman?
>>153093614it was probably not approved by the committee or whoever was running the show due to fear of more backlash, even though people shit on Indians and their culture relentlessly today.
>>153092766>>153092959>>153093360>>153093440When CH was getting popular with tiktok zoomers prior to the reboot, the teen drama parody aspect flew past their heads and a lot of them were either taking it seriously or getting offended LOLBut I'll admit that I was very young when Clone High came out and my first exposure to it was from YTP "fads" back in 2010:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwa3paGqmmEI don't think it would've been hard to keep it the same though..
>>153092738If you have to shelve a popular character because the times no longer allow it, then your show should endAnd yes, this is a blanket statement applying to multiple cartoons
>>153092738the moment they revealed Gandhi wasnt coming back i lost all interest, he was the funniest character in the original series
>>153092738Because they made it 20 years later.
>>153092738Because Lord and Miller got old and the new writers only knew the show through Tiktok memes.
>>153092738that's it! i am making my own clone high. with orange juice and tomboys
>>153095703There's no reason not to. Fanon has no framework in which it is inferior to Canon, when the writers of Canon are just producers and hollywood executives and not even good. Making the idea that fan projects can't be better or aim to be more enjoyed than canon is a spook of the capitalist headspace landlords known as intellectual property owners. Freedom of expression should be the unfiltered right to make your own content with the whole of the human condition as they are entitled to your myths to make their own stories. All you should be able to personally own is the story you write yourself, not the characters, locations, ideas or even the continuity you force everyone to imagine is inherently sacrosanct. There is no reason you need to make stories in the paradigm of what the people made of stories before, let alone the idea that only they can tell the stories.4chan should write a new Clone High Season 2 and use their own voice actors and make it a sequel project, because it literally can't be worse than what Hollywood tried to pass off as what SHOULD come next. The bar is SO low and there's fertile ground to tell wonderfully hilarious stories, no matter what some faggot lawyer in Hollywood would even think to do to you with his letters and police doing their jobs. They all have better things to do than crush dreams.
>>153094043>the teen drama parody aspect flew past their heads and a lot of them were either taking it seriously or getting offendedyeah i remember a lot of the new writers hated abe cause they thought he was a jerk
bump for cleo
>>153094670>>153092906Clone High should've never come back if Lord & Miller weren't gonna be available to showrun and if Gandhi weren't able to return. What a way to ruin a cult show's legacy
>>153096762That intro gets me emotional every time I see it That happen for anyone else?
>>153092738When I saw they "fixed" Joan's head, that's when I knew it was bound to disappoint...
>>153092738the show was taken over by people who had no context for teen drama shows from the mid 2000s so they self-inserted on Joan.
Honestly, making Joan the main character is totally fine with me, I like Joan, but they just didn’t understand the appeal of these characters OR the original show. Also no Gandhi, yeah.
