So every single western cartoon we know and love is 90% produced by uncredited slave labor in Korea? this fact alone should invalidate all cartoon discourse
>>
Yeah nigga everybody knows that

My golden age cartoons were only made in America :)

So is most anime.

Worse than that, the Americans only complain about not hiring Americans.

Outsourcing and immigration are necessary to keep the rich rich and the poor poor

If you want to bring jobs back and control the borders the media will call you a nazi
>>
>>153097614
It isn't. This gaijin cope is one of the ugliest things I've ever seen.
>>
>>153097552
It’s either that or horrendous toon boom rigging done in canada and you guys always seem to bitch about that looking cheap when it probably costs even more
>>
>>153097614

this is why you see creative heads bitching about ai because they realize the absolute bare minimum they do like storyboarding and animatics could be made obsolete overnight

>Anime outsources too!
American animators work on bespoke product ads and preproduction packages. Japan has a whole domestic labor force animating on cartoon shows.

There are some anime mostly animated in Korea too like Kaiji but that would be below 5% of all anime.

I miss when they outsourced to the Japanese. Now those fuckers could animate.

>uncredited slave labor in Korea
My understanding is that back in the day, you couldn't actually list those names even if you wanted to, because receiving credit is a privilege of union members. This is on a studio-level.
>this fact alone should invalidate all cartoon discourse
South Korea is only dominant in hand-drawn animation. A good amount of Toonboom-style rig animation is still done in Canada and America, although that's also being outsourced. If I recall correctly, there have been significant efforts to train rig animators in Malaysia, India, and various countries in Africa.
>>
>>153097552
everyone already knows this. anime too. literally just look at the credits of any anime or western cartoon
>>
>>153097552
It's credited but yeah

AI-generated animation will liberate the exploited working class subalterns in Korea.
