It takes three days to make a potato salad?
>>153104876Does it? I remember my mother taking a couple of hours to make it, but three days? Seems excessive. I still found the joke funny as a kid just because of the line delivery
Fuck potato salad, even in that weird realm of "salads" (egg, tuna, pasta) it's still the worst one.But I don't know.
>>153104876The exaggeration is the joke
Maybe your city slicker, Park Avenue manicure potato salad is done in a country minute, but anyone with a lick of sense knows good things take timeIf anything three days isn't long enough
>>153104876Mmm... Potato salad...
I just had potato salad as part of the Easter dinner at my grandma's place. It was alright, but it was definitely the least exceptional of the various servings. I think the corn casserole was the best.
>>153104876I thought the joke was that they're poor.
>>153104876When i was a kid i just thought it took them 3 days to just buy ingredients cause the shop forgot and would finally put it up selves days later until on the 3rd day they actually make the damn thing

>>153104876You try stirring anything while underwater. It's either mixed fast and ends up blending into the water all around you or you take it very very slow.
>>153104876Listen to me. After you make the potato salad, it tastes better the next day and the day after because the flavors have time to sit and mingle. This also goes for sauce and similar. 3 days is pushing it but if they were going to eat all the salad and not have leftovers, it's probably at peak deliciousness.
