Why is BFDI and most object shows considered "childish"? Adults on 4chan enjoy things made for younger audiences like Sonic, Mario, Pokemon, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, Pixar, etc and no one calls them out. but when someone says they're a object show fan in this board, they're immediately suspected of being underage. Why is this? I don't get it.
I watch it but just look at it, it doesn't have a Carl to make it mature
>>153105812>ATHF is mature because it has Carl
>>153105798It’s literally just for eyes with stick arms on them. Having characters personify and be named after common objects is a trope almost exclusively found in kids media, and the show has no unique artistic flare if I’m being completely honest
>>153106305Just eyes* And when anons talk about children shows, it’s usually through nostalgia or finding the characters hot
>>153106321>Through nostalgia or finding the characters hotThat's it? What about the concepts of those shows?BFDI is also nostalgic to those who grew up in the 2010s

I'm sharing pic related while I continue to wait for my gijinka request, lol.>>153105798>considered "childish"Low stakes, geometric character design, bright colors, especially having hyperactive contestants.>no one calls them outYou give them too much credit since the insult to their perceived maturity is just water on a raincoat going under the bridge to them. That's why liking sonic and sonic OCs are "weird" and the term Nintendo Adult and Disney Adult are seen almost always in the derogative.>object fans are immediately suspected of being underageSame reason regarding "considered childish" above, being in the internet, just need some thicker skin, or better yet, hope other mature object show enthusiasts find their way here and constructively discuss their critique and/or appreciation of the objects, the nature of the contests, and the premise of object shows in general.
>Sonic, Mario, Pokemon, Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, Disney, Pixar, etcAll of those things are decades old at this point, meanwhile Object Shows have been popular for what, the last decade? So the people who grew up with it are most likely to be from the younger generations.
>>153105798I tried watching this after I heard the Brothers Chaps did a cameo, but I don't understand it whatsoever. It has decent enough presentation, but the content feels like it was autocompleted. There's no substance to it, no humor.
