This character wasn't David Bowie, he was The Man Who Sold The World.
Still mad about them changing it so he wasn't the real David Bowie
>>153110470It's kinda funny that Bowie died IRL almost exactly a year after they wrote him out of the show. How long does someone need to be dead before it's fair game to just use them without anyone's permission by the way? I know Red Mantle was almost but not quite confirmed to be Buddy Holly and that guy had been dead IRL for 50 years at the time, so does it really take over 50 years?
>>153110636parody is protected
>>153110784Didn't they have to retcon the Sovereign as being a Bowie impersonator precisely because he failed the criteria of being parody though?
>>153110418Supposed this is supposed to be un altered photo of him
>>153112453I don't think they fail it any more than South Park does. He acted more like the Sovereign than Bowie even before the reveal. The only time he felt more like Bowie made into a villain was his first appearance.

>>153110418WORDS THAT KILLWILL YOU SPEAK THEM TO ME?
>>153110418>>153110470I don't really consider it a change that he wasn't actually Bowie. Mainly cause the first introduction he had as David Bowie had Ward make the comment of hours being an underrated album, to which the sovreign replied "Yeah, I thought so as well but wasn't it too little too late?" which always read to me not as how an artist would talk about their own work but how a fan would talk about an artists work.
