>>153113467Fine you want actual criticisms here.The main duo have little to no chemistry and do not work well off eachother. The zany idiot and straight man dynamic has been done a million times and much better elsewhere. It's actually amazing just how little personality Beeps has. Shrike actually works when paired with Scratch and those two would make for a way more entertaining duo just given how adversarial they are. On that note essentially every side character is more interesting and likable than our two main characters. The issue really is straight down to the series main leads. It doesn't matter how good the animation is, how good you're side characters are, or how interesting your lore is. If the leads suck the show sucks.

Money Wrench pains me to no end, I love the passion behind it but in terms of visuals and story and world lore it just doesn't do it for me, the whole thing about primary colors is weird and feels like a an idea Zeurel had off the bat and just kinda went with it... Visually nothing really pops nor does it feel satisfying to look at and like anons said the characters have little to no chemistry - On the other hand even though anons clown Zeurel for making a Cowboy Bebop clone I'd argue that's still leagues better than having another obvious goonbait/shipbait show. If Zeurel really is bitching about not having TADC numbers he is absolutely delusional, perhaps if Monkey Wrench came out 15 years go it'd be able to get TADC numbers on visuals alone just because there was nothing of similar quality out at the time but in the year of our lord 2026 when the envelope has been pushed so far in the indie space there's just no way. It feels like Zeurel liked cartoons so much he's too glued to the idea what a show is supposed to look like and what's supposed to happen in a cartoon that he isn't really having fun with it, when you're an indie creator you get to do literally anything you can think of and all you could think of is a copy of another show that goes through the beats but just doesn't have the emotional weight to back them up. And another thing about Zeurel allegedly bitching about not getting TADC numbers, if he's making a show for himself he should be thankful he got to make it regardless of the numbers, imagine how many people don't get that chance, it feels like he tried to make a show for himself but at the same time tried to make it appealing to as many people as possible and what he got in the end was something neither here nor there, just lukewarm...
