>>153115069>A tooth! A tooth! My kingdom for a tooth!Fuck off, Dan.
>>153115069Give me that green goblin realizing peter is back. Soo good
>>153115875Found it
>>153115875As you wish, anon!
>>153115069I don't have it handy, but there's a scene in the last Luther Strode volume where The Swordsman at Cain's stronghold is doing a series of slashes and every slash he made is Illustrated in the same panel, like a series of after-images. It looked fucking awesome
someone else? I already contributed
man I don't have the pages on me but the last scene of Hitman in #60 is a gut-wrencher. Shit brought me to tears when I first read it in 2013, and it brought me to tears again when I read it a few days ago in the omnibus
>>153115069>t. least salty maryjanekek
>>153115900The only good page from Slott's whole run.I actually really liked his She-Hulk and I had hoped he would get Spider-Man, because I thought his spider/torch series was light fun. Fuck, was I ever wrong. What a terrible, interminable run.
>>153121701The first year or so was fine. It didn't start going down hill till he kept spamming "IMPORTANT EVENTS!"
I like this fight scene from Return of Barry Allen. Really sells how outclassed Wally is at first.
Bump
>>153122080This is bs. He has time to think about what's happening but can't hit Thawne back? Come on. This is where the 3rd person narrator would come in handy
One of the best bromances in comics
>>153122453comic book thinking was always like this
This "origin" for Kingpin still gives me chills. Tells you everything you need to know about him in two pages.
>...I see...A reflection, Harvey. A reflection.
>>153122467Gay.
>>153120983Yeah I tried to get a thread like this going a few times. No one is willing to participate or maybe there aren't enough users anymore. Anyway I'm gonna post this whole sequence and go to bed hopefully someone comes and contributes
>>1531225232/9
Both Mongul and Superman are cold af in this sequence.

>>153122528He turned into michael keaton in the bottom right panel
>>1531225569/9
>>153122563Bonus. I love this page especially it just sounds like 40's-60's batman just saying goodnight. I like in Batman origin stories they sort of make it seem like Gordan is making a pact with the Devil by allowing Batman to work with him. Year One did it. Batman Begins did it >now we are two. Its a bit autistic I know but then to pull it back and give us a silver age line like this. It's just neat
One of my favorite Cap moments from the criminally under-read 'Cap Lives' story by Dave Gibbons and Lee Weeks.1/2
>>1531225812/2Reminds me of the moment in Superman 2 where Superman kneels in front of Zod, assuming Superman has been depowered, then Supes takes Zod's hand and crushes it as the theme swells.
>Never had a foe I hated so muchModern Marvel has completely forgotten that Tony's own self-loathing is his biggest enemy, it's where all of his problems stemmed from through the 90's until recently. It's something that was present in the MCU in the first two Iron Man movies, then completely forgotten.
>>153122490>the heat is finally about to break but we are in for one whopper of a storm tonight
>...Probably a commie...
>>153122657Geez thats fucking rough
>>153122681>Does he know?
>>153122795
>>153122681Does anybody have this one page where Bruce is with Tim Jason Dick and Damien and they're all watching Zorro together? It may have been fan art but I swear I saw it in a comic.
>>153123091
For me, Abby's confession to Swamp Thing to she loves him is a moment that has been burned into my brain. Moore wrote it so naturally and I've found it so beautiful to read. 1/7
>>1531233462/7
>>1531233533/7The art by Bissette and Totleben also helps alot too.

>>153123346>frogpileLol
>>153122467>wolverine in second panelHayyyy
>>153123360Does Swamp Thing sound like a LOTR Ent to anyone else who reads his dialogue?
>>153121701What did you dislike about?Other than some cringe dialogue, I found it completely in offensive. And he introduced a bunch of great stuff. Like Agent Venom, Scarlet Kaine and Superior.
Reading Punisher since I was a kid. His killing the guy in the wheelchair, then killing everyone else as they run outside with an M60 is my absolute favorite kill.
>>153115903I just can't believe out of 20 something issues a single page is the only positive thing to come from this. Well I mean aside from>>153115069
>>153121026Great choice, that is an entrance.
>>153123825Are you me? I just rereading Punisher Max. Damn I forgot I how much I love comics.
>>153121701>I actually really liked his She-HulkWhy?
>>153127634>>153127634Nice
>>153123849The OP page is bad. Shitty ass exchange.
>>153127960I honestly thought this was a stealth misogyny thread for a second.
>>153128002I thought OP was Dan Slott trying to get attention again
>>153128024No he just prowls on comic podcasts now, The one that only have 150 subs.
>>153122893I'm always disappointed that Cass is often left out of stuff like this. Doesn't feel right but I get it
>>153127960It’s taken from an identical thread that was posted 11 years ago.
>>153128086Thanks anon. Kino moment
>>153122800Good moment that was proceeded by genuine garbage and would be followed up with five years of absolute ass.
>>153123644Shit-taste lmao
>>153128183Flashpoint was a heartbreaking reality, also shame on Diana and Arthur for pratically handing Nekron all of Earth's inhabitants on a silver platter.
>>153128183Damn the fact they made a Flashpoint movie and didn't use Michael Keaton to play Thomas Wayne. What were they thinking?
>>153128480In the first place it should've been Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Flashpoint Batman because he played Thomas Wayne in BvSBut the real reason they decided "let's bring back Michael Keaton" is because WB wanted to ditch Cavill and Affleck and wanted to make Keaton the Batman of the post-Flash DCEU
>>153128678
I love that you can tell exactly what Norman is thinking in the last panel.>FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF--
>>153128791>>153128797Stormin' Norman was the absolute best. Thunderbolts/Dark Avengers was the last time Marvel was good. Bendis shitting the bed with the ending and the return to status quo was the worst thing.
>>153129196doctor light, doctor polaris and psycho pirate.COOL
>>153128741>Those were for charity, Clark.Absolute top.
>>153129256Johns does this thing where he writes individual moments and interactions really well but they often fall apart if you think too much about them in the larger context of the storyline. Infinite Crisis is the best example of something that has a lot of epic moments but if you actually look back on it you realize how stupid a lot of it is.That's why his [best] works should be treated like explosive hollywood flicks and you just enjoy the ride.
>>153129317I really dislike these moments. It reminds me of corny network TV writing. The way he wrote these DC heroes was particularly awful.
>>153129885>By Grabthar's hammer... by the Suns of Worvan... you shall be... avenged.

>>153122466I love his "I believe in me!".
>>153128625(You)
>>153122574The goodbye between them really does sell it I think. It's something they don't usually get but now do that they've reach an understanding.
I like that I don't even need to post what happens next, you just know in your gut that it's going to be good.
>>153123644He didn't get Peter, weirdly. The thing people have struggled with for a long time, except Straczynski (who I also dislike, but I digress) is that Peter isn't a loser, he's a winner in over his head. Spider-Man is easily avengers or fantastic four material, but he can't be that because he has to be Peter, and he has to be Peter because of May. Peter could be a successful scientist doctor, but he has to be Spider-Man. And when things are firing for him, the part of him that could succeed at either should show up. He should be a little brash, confident- a little bit braggy, even. Slott's Peter is a loser who can't get it together until after the execrable Superior, and then suddenly the book reads like one of DC's New Super-Man books. I don't even know who this character is.
>>153130982The only good thing from this was Classic She-Hulk punching her.
>>153126136I found it funny. I liked the take on the previous 4th wall breaking. I really enjoyed how he wrote Titania, and Awesome Andy. I don't need or want every book to be rehashing Byrne, and I think using her to tell stories that are indistinguishable from Bruce stories is a waste of what's special about her. She-Hulk has it all, and it's not a curse- but the world is a place where being She-Hulk is just one way to be a big shot.
>>153131010Slott imbues all his characters with a weird self-hating loser mentality while at the sometime they think that they're better than everybody else. It's very schizophrenic.
>>153131060Thanks for the CBR review.
>>153128901It was Bendis's best writing, too. They were all such fucking assholes, all the time, and it just worked
>>153116582February's not in the rhyme and it famously has only 28 days (29 in a leap year), so not "ALL tha rest".
never refuted
>>153131106I suppose you think that's an insult, but compared to being the angry, entitled /pol/ corrupted hissing that comes from here, I'll take it.
>>153131220What fucking refutation could you give? Doom is a monster, but he has chuck absolutely dead to rights there.
>>153131262Well it was just Easter, I'm trying to be graceful. Key word on trying.
Anyone have the comic page where Doom takes his mask off after being called vain? Always liked that one
>>153131302
>>153131302>>153131324
>>153131324>>153131347Thanks brotherDamn I love Doom
>>153130941This. It's the pay-off from the last panel here>>153122534Batman has always done that "leave while your back is turned" thing afaik.
>>153122657This is Mr Incredible saving a man from Suicide levels of irony
>>153122800Now and forever, this is always my answer to "Who is the real man: Bruce Wayne or Batman?":Bruce, wearing everything but the cowl in the Batcave. THAT is the real man.
>>153131324>>153131347Hopefully DOOM appreciates that he's dining with a mortal man who has fought Lovecraftian horrors (literally; there were crossovers between H. P. Lovecraft and Robert E. Howard), won, and without so much as bad dreams over it.
>>153128086I had to do this. I'm sorry.
>>153128625I don't remember Batman and Mockingbird doing this in any of the DC/Marvel crossovers.
I really, REALLY hate Jane fucking Fonda.
I wish I could read comic books.
>>153122467Where did we go wrong?

I'm glad we're friends Professor Hamilton. It would suck really badly if we were suddenly at each other's throats over some contrived bullshit reason for the sake of drama.
>>153129196What's the deal with the red and black guy? I like his outfit a lot.
>>153133872Psycho-Pirate? He's an interesting character, he uses the Medusa Mask to manipulate people's emotions. It made him a very effective Black Lantern as well.
>>153133964He was kind of a big deal in Crisis on Infinite Earths too.
>>153133964>>153133973The costume really is cool. The blank golden mask and the expression masks on his chest. It's cool and feels unique. Guess emotion manipulation makes sense what with the mask motif and all.
>>153132394Motherfucker... kek
>>153133751The context is she ran a computer sim to deduce Clark Kent is Superman and the answer was simply too obvious that it just couldn't be true in Lex's mind. And given how AI is... I see his point.
>>153134012It's very Rotschach-esque
>>153128086>>153132394that was rough time for us Cassfags.
>>153134550It's Ditkoesque, although picrel debuted in 1973
>>153121701Slott has that page. Tom King hasElmer Fudd taking on Batman
>>153134637Cass had Oracle and her birds of prey come off it. Nobody complains more than a cassfag. You literally don't see this shit with like Zatana and Black Lightning. Not everyone has to be right in lockstep with Bruce.
