SOMEBODY
>teen drama with a capeshit coat of paintCan't believe this shit ran for 10 seasons.
>>153119442you wouldn't get it
>>153119442Well, it should have stopped around season 4. I tried to watch the whole thing, but season 5 broke me. To be exact, it was the time reset episode that broke me. Fuck man, I didn't even care if they hooked up or broke up, but the flip flopping was actually worse than Lois and Clark and how many times they put off the wedding. Even then, Season 4 was pushing it with how obvious there was no long term plan anymore and they were just making up shit as it went on. I watched a whole season and never found out why French witches could be reincarnated with tramp stamps from Krypton.

>>153119442Junk food is delicious
>>153119442>why did this well made show last ten yearsGee.
>>153117660ONCE TOLD ME
>>153119696>well made showThose action scenes sucked.
>>153119696I know, right? It has NO diversity, unlike modern masterpieces like Star Wars Acolyte and Star Trek Starfleet Academy. Those shows'll go for twenty years, I'm sure.
>>153120026Wasn't a black guy part of the main cast?
>>153120273They also race swapped Lana
>>153120273They wrote him out in like season 2 or 3.
Michael is the best Lex.
>>153117660S(L)AVE ME
>best live- action Lex>best live- action Lois>best ma and pa kent>cozy early 2000s atmosphere with shockingly high production value at timesIt takes a nosedive after S4, but at it's peak, it's the best live- action take on Superman yet.
>>153120986Even compared to the Dean Cain show? I know I'm an old fuck, but I remember enjoying it back in the day, and didn't much think of Smallville despite agreeing with you that it had a great cast and production values. I think it was the highschool setting that made it hard for me to get into, since I already had my 'fix' of that setting with shows like Popular, for example.
>>153119442You can't believe it? Teen dramas practically defined 00s TV.
>>153120859completely ruined the show for me
>>153121025>PopularHoly shit, I haven't thought of Popular in years.I'll be honest, just finished S4 when they graduate, and at this point the high-school setting feels incidental. School- life balance certainly isn't as critical to the show as it is in something like Buffy.
>>153119442watching it back then i was sick of teen shows since they were fucking everywhere. now its a perfect time capsule of the world before it became gay and lame. interesting to watch at times
