>HOW DARE THEY MAKE THE X-MEN A SOPA OPERA!!!
>>
For a second I was trying to recall what recent non-capeshit movie Thunderbolts was, then it hit me. Dead on arrival.
>>
>>153128471
But there are multiple ways of family trauma they could go with. Proteus might be interesting.

>>153128471
So just your average X-men story?
>>

Thunderbolts felt like made for tv slop. Next to no story, a bunch of rando characters, and muh trauma doesn't make for an interesting film. The glazing it got when it released was ridiculous.

>A shockwave emanated across the westchester landscape.
>"Oh no...." Jubilee said as she heard the rumbling and smoking coming up.
>In all their adventures fighting intergalactic despots and space parasites, interdimensional TV hosts, psychic godlike beings, human wrecking machines, and demons, what they had to face next was something they would never be prepared for.
>...A small Asian mother ordering a roast beef at their new food truck.
>"You deaf?! I wanted roast beef! Awright!? No cheese! Onry saurt!"
>Jubilee couldn't comprehend what it was saying but the fear didn't subside. It was fast, aggressive and pushy. How could they survive this? The PTSD of her childhood roared back and all she could do was man the oven.
>"Kid! We need spatulas at the front line! I got knives right here! C'mon kid! MOVE!"
>Wolverine's blood got on the beef and the sight sent him into wave upon wave of flashbacks. We were down one cook. Just how were we gonna make it out of this?

Seeing how Disney ruined Spider-Man by making him Iron Boy Jr and diversity-washing his cast, I can’t wait to see how badly they ruin the X-Men

>The X-Men are all now students of the Hulk or Rocket Raccoon now
>Jean Grey is now black
>Magneto isn’t a Holocaust victim, just a Stark employee angry at Tony Stark

The soap opera elements have never been properly translated into a X-men movie. But sure this time will work.

I love their work on Dave and Beef and The Bear, but I still have little to no interest in checking out Thunderbolts*, sorry
