Apart from natural mutation, inbreeding simply mixes and reuses the same genes over and over, it doesn't automatically make "bad" genes, it merely has the effect/chance of compounding bad genes which existed to begin with. The only reason a backwoods Appalachian family would be inbred in a bad way is because their forebears had some bad genetics which were compounded over generations.If you never had those to begin with, like if they were bred out or genetically removed, then it's not a problem. Apart from of course the lack of genetic diversity increasing which could be its own problem, but only because of possible external pressures.
