Chapter 102: Page 2Morning!https://www.gunnerkrigg.com
>>153134814>Weird digitization/lcd effectI wonder what that could mean...
spoiler : Annie is gonna ruin it for everyone.
>>153134861Obviously.And Kat's gonna help.
>>153134814And you were there and you were there and you were there!
>>153134814I want to see what Noa and Parley look like URGENTLY
picrel was 16 months ago
>>153135065That can't be right...
>>153134814betting a on "team shuffle" right there. Like annie being part of the witches gang, and Noa being a nerd alongside Kat. the fairies should be back to fairy state too. their human body wasn't natural
>>153135104That would be cool and interesting. So it's unlikely to happen.
>>153135065Sex with Zimmy
>>153135065>>153135098>That can't be right...To me Zimmy's "they're stuck" means people can't normally navigate in the distorted court. court, if that's what you mean.
>>153135363^>Because I know fire head girl will do what I want.
and a Cliff Notes recap
>>153135379
>>153135383
>>153135363I meant that it was 16 months ago.
>>153134814Nice jammies, Annie. Calling it now, Kat is gonna be the one rushing to school with a piece of toast in her mouth.
>>153134814>we're just doing eva now
>>153135781>suddenly getting pissy that Tom is a huge weeb despite that being obvious from almost the beginning
>>153135781>Annie will run late to school with a toaster in her mouth>bumps on Kat and show her full panties while he grabs her boob by mistake
Oh, so it's going to be one of these. Great, now we know what the next 6 months of pages will be before they're even drawn.
>>153134814Inb4 Court Annie is there as her twin sister and the threads fucking explode again
>>153134814>WandaVision confirmedFor all the haters how quickly would you be back on board if AnnieKat is real in this universe?>>153135104This would also make me happy.
>>153135938This would be too based for Tom, although I'm now noticing that forest wallpaper behind her. You sick bastard you're moderately elevating my hopes.
>>153135938Tom doing something for forgiveness? After killing Omega, de-muscling Parley, nothingburgering the witches, muting every aspect of conflict and resolution in the comic? Lol. Lmao.
>>153135958I would be satisfied by nothing less than the return of Annies. Also Omega would be nice, but that's not happening. With Annies, Lana, and hot new Zimmy in one place, the triumvirate of SEX will finally be complete.
>>153135938Don't even joke about that. That's just a cruel thing to give someone even vague hope about.
Oh boy! Another opportunity to post this as the thread theme!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2y0ckB_2EaA
>>153135938How dare you open up my mind to the idea that this might be possible.
Wait... >night stand on both sides >each with a different lamp>two different postersPlease tell me I'm hallucinating that. Because if this is actually happening, I'm gonna lose my mind and cum in my pants.
>>153135938>>153136419Oh my fucking God
>>153136419Tom this had better not just be some really lazy oversight I swear to fuck if the two Annies are actually back even if it's just for this chapter I'm going to ENSURE that more porn of them gets made
>>153136419I-It's just because this is a dream and the details aren't staying consistent right? We're not about to zoom out and see two Annies right? Right? I can't believe the most excited I've been for the comic in years is the fact that there might be two Annies again but holy shiiiiiit
>>153136419TOMIF YOU GIVE US DOUBLE ANNIES THEN MY SOUL IS YOURSBut I get it back when this ends because there's no way you'd let it go longer than while they're in this world.
If this really is twin Annies I doubt they're going to stay in the comic longer than this one chapter, or however many chapters we stay in the dream world. But even just one more chapter with them would be a huge blessing. And maybe a sign Tom's realized it was retarded to write them out. If he actually uses this as an excuse to bring them back though I'll fucking genuflect.
>>153136524Writing them out wasn't a bad thing. Writing them out in such a fucking stupid way after wasting so much time on them was.
>>153136419Oh.My.Gosh...Let me pray.
If this is actually happening, then>Annie actually liked having her identical self around so much that in her dreams there's still two of herReally throws fuel on that old selfcest shipping fire
>>153136577Alternatively, since the current Annie is technically a fusion of two previous Annies, in this Zimmy dreamscape they're just unfused.
>>153136513nah I'm not forgiving him so easilyHe'll get a stay of execution, nothing moreBecause now you know even if he does, it's just gonna end in distortion handwaves again.
Gee shucks howdy it sure would be swell if Tom either decided he liked the two Annies or saw all the people clambering for them and decided to use this distortion tomfoolery to bring them back permanently. That'd just be dandy I tells you, just dandy.
>>153135065good god I forgot how hot Formal Attire Zimmy was
... Are we back? Please? >>153136697>Tom either decided he liked the two AnniesHe clearly did, and especially enjoyed drawing them being silly. He just cowarded out when people noticed he was writing Annie as if she wanted to fuck herself.
>>153136726Right, what the fuck is this? Gorgeous Zimmy is against the rules.
Imaa if this is actually the return of the two Annies you should draw them again in erection I mean fornication I mean celebration
Has Annie fucked herself yet?
>Subconsciously feel like something's off about this page but can't put my finger on it because I just woke up>Make this post >>153135938 as a joke>Come back and see >>153136419 along with the thread exploding at just the PROSPECT of it really being twin AnniesDamn my subconscious is way smarter than I am. Also Tom fucking please.
If Zimmy merged the Annies what are the chances that killing her will bring them back permanently?
>>153136862It's worth a shot.
Honestly, with the amount of people in these threads that just want selfcest Annie, you could probably make a good comic in and of itself just with that premise. But based on the fact very little art is posted I assume none of you can draw nor have the funds to fund a proper comic.
>>153136862It's possible honestly. Would be fucking crazy if the death of Zimmy is how they get brought back, especially given al the old theories about Zimmy and Annie being related to some capacity.
>>153136834Maybe?! >>153136859Your post made me take a closer look at the page and notice that stuff. Also, the posters are Forest and Court themed.
>>153136953"My fist smells funny"
>>153136942I was genuinely thinking about commissioning a fuckhuge comic at one point but both couldn't find an artist that did big comic commissions like that (who would also be down for selfcest) and the Annies got merged around then which kind of killed my boner. If they're seriously back I might.
>>153136862>the actual reason Kat will kill Zimmy is because she doesn't want to lose either of her best friends.Would be Kino
>>153136953>Also, the posters are Forest and Court themed.Holy fuck you're right. My subconscious is a fucking genius. Or I just jumped to the biggest "what if" that I thought could make the thread go wild. Either way holy shit it might actually be happening.
>>153136974Well I look forward to it. I know there is that Japanese artist who does a lot of selfcest stuff.
>>153136953>>153137007I was about to call bullshit because of fan terminology but then I remembered that Tom actually called them that during the popularity contest.
>>153136942I'd be fine with twins in general. Twins are pretty fun if they're 90% the same. I'd be fine if it wasn't incest but incestbait. That's the secret sauce. Let others do the lewd stuff for you because you created a demand for it.
>>153137007Your subconscious could very well be a genius. Expectations tempered, but like... Bro, we might actually be fucking back.
>>153136419This might just be an art error sort of thing, but the bed Annie's sitting up on in the left panel doesn't appear to have a headboard, even though it should be visible based on the right panel. The other stuff you posted is more "conclusive" buuuuut...
>>153137089For me, it's twincest where one twin doesn't want to do anything and the other one is super horny and slowly wears the other one down. Incremental stuff. Holding hands, kissing, touching boobs and so on and so on until one side just gives in because 'we've already gone this far'. Throw in some actual sisterly love and caring for icing on the cake.
>>153134814Are Annie's (or the Annies') PJs a subtle throwback to Coyote's wrist-cutting curse he laid on her?
>>153137182>where one twin doesn't want to do anything and the other one is super horny and slowly wears the other one downI like that most of the art of them has Court Annie being proactive while Forest Annie is the one weirded out, but ends up going along with it anyway.
>>153137182Twins casually banging like it's the most normal thing in the world is hotter
>>153137216I mean I'm into both, but I like the slow burn stuff. Issue is that doesn't really work in porn because you very rarely have the time for it. 1 + 1/2 tried to do it (albeit mother and daughter).
>>153137210>>153137229If I got a comic done it'd be Court Annie slowly whittling down Forest Annie until the dam broke and they went at it like rabbits. Then afterwards it hits Forest Annie like a truck what she just did while Court Annie isn't even remotely bothered.
Speaking of yuri, I was skimming again and was reminded about the time Annie was talking to Jack, who insisted that Zimmy and Gamma being a couple "Doesn't even begin to describe those two!". And then this happened and I can't help but wonder what delusional cope nonsense cuckboy was on about.
I asked soulless text-generating machines what they thought about the bottom two panels and they said "It's possible". We are so fucking back bros.
We're holding the biggest Suicide Watch party this Friday
>>153137279In the fantasy world, they're just a deliriously happy teen couple. In the real world, Zimmy literally needs Gamma in her head to keep her sane.
>>153137469Friday's going to be one of the most exciting or disappointing moments in the history of the comic. Up there with either the Paz/Kat happening or Annie directly telling the reader how cool her dad is.
>>153137678Tom is either giving the people what they want or the biggest middle finger. It's going to be great/horrible.
>>153137537>Zimmy literally needs Gamma in her head to keep her sane. And this causes immense sacrificial pressure on Gamma.
>>153137678>>153137711Just wait as he frames it in such a way that we still can't tell for certain until Monday.
>>153137469>>153137678I'm scared, bruhs.
>People acting like the entire fate of the comic hinges on whether or not Friday shows two AnniesDid Tom unironically outdo himself by introducing them as a concept? Ever since they disappeared it's like the only productive conversation people have about it. I've even seen people in non-Gunnerkrigg threads refer to it.
>>153137796It's the most interesting thing to happen to the comic and was removed in the most anticlimactic way and the comic has yet to recover from that in any way. It almost did with Omega (not really but close) and we all saw how that went.
>>153137796>Did Tom unironically outdo himself by introducing them as a concept?Genuinely yes. Horny aside, Annie's tomboy and girly-girl dynamic with herself, and the way it allows her inner thoughts to come out because she has someone she's willing to share them with, was honestly some of the most entertaining and compelling stuff the comic ever did. Plus, they were adorable and gave us tons of funny panels.
>everybody was transformed into annie>Annie is stuck into boxbot
>>153137796It's a few things>Their dynamic was genuinely really fun, with them being juuuust different enough to bounce off of each other and have some conflicts.>The comic overall was kind of going south at that time so their dynamic sucked up a lot of attention.>The comic has NOT gotten better since then so people look back on that fondly.>They could be read as being written like a couple, intentionally or not. So selfcest.>Speaking of which, art of them fucking was the last time the comic got a noticeably large amount of porn.
>>153137796It wouldn't have been an "outdoing" if he just didn't write them out like a retard. It would have been a fun and interesting dynamic that the comic probably would have become known for as being maybe the only example where an alternate universe/clone/doppelganger character becomes a permanent part of the cast.
>>153137796>People acting like the entire fate of the comic hinges on whether or not Friday shows two AnniesIt literally does though. Everything else he's done lately.. to call it a shitshow would be an insult to shitshows. This nonstop chain of not only killing off the characters everyone likes to see, but literally rubbing it in making sure you know that they just got fully Empty Recycle Bin'ed, data wiped, CCcleaner ran and bits erased, can only be called a strategic insult to his readers.
>>153138081It's extremely brazen that Tom adopted the not-uncommon fantasy approach of "Dead isn't really dead", there are ghosts and whatnot and not only that but a whole mess of afterlives to pick from, and multiple planes of existence and transfiguration from one stage of life to another (fairies and Forest critters, etc), but then fullstops it by adding Absolute Total DoubleDeath where your component bits are annihilated like a proton in gamma rays. It's downright horrific, even more than a vague unknowable afterlife. The Gunnerkrigg universe operates according to some kind of antispiritual Marxism, where every living entity is just an interchangeable unit of Etheric energy destined to be recycled like cosmic slurry.
>>153138081Even I can't defend that bullshit with Omega. What the was that, TOM? Goodness for fucking bid the readers enjoy anything in this comic, lest the author spitefully decide to get rid of it. Fucking hell, I did not realize how still mad I was about that.
>>153134814
>>153138169>Goodness for fucking bid the readers enjoy anything in this comic, lest the author spitefully decide to get rid of it.The idea that you think it was out of spite is mind-boggling.
>>153138169>>153138242I doubt it was actually out of spite but the fact he kept getting rid of fan-favorite characters really fucking stung after the third time. I know Lana's not technically dead but from a narrative standpoint she might as well be.
>>153138183better comic than gunnerkrigg court(tm)
>>153138277>AnniesTom says it's because it somehow conflicted with the ending, but I think he just got uncomfortable with them because he could just change the ending himself, he's the fucking author>LanaEaten to make human!Coyote go insane, this one makes narrative sense>OmegaThis is the biggest "literally why" for me, she was basically a new character that got killed off almost immediately and off-page. The fuck was that?
>>153138277>I doubt it was actually out of spiteI'd doubt it if it was once or twice but it's been like 5 or 6 repeated back to back spitings where every single thing that is enjoyed or beloved or appreciated gets deleted and ushered out of the theater in the most perfunctory anticlimactic way. It's impossible to ignore the pattern.
>>153137469I'm calling it now. Next page will jump to Kat. After that to Parley, then the fairies, then the witches one by one, and a month later we finally get to find out if we got the twins back.
>delusionally thinking the Annie singularity was out of spite and bringing them back would be out of apologyHis main goal is to tell a story. I liked the Annies a great deal myself but I can understand that suddenly having two of your main character can make it rather annoying to write out future events that only needed one. You'd have to always have one catch the other up on things, or have them together whenever new information drops. Their main difference was a chunk of time one of them missed and a few fickers of fatherly familiarity. They'd easily cascade back into a point of being the same person. Even now, while I'd be happy to see two of them again, I'd have to wonder what exactly would make them different this go around? They've already merged into one experience, any conflict or character differences now would be silly. That all said, the paneling IS suspicious, so I'm also aboard the hesitant hope train.
>>153138826>I'd have to wonder what exactly would make them different this go around?I get the feeling in this alternate "normal" reality that they'd just be actual twins. Oh fuck I just realized that also means Surma could possibly show up because in a normal world she wouldn't have a fire spirit to pass on and kill her.
>>153138826>His main goal is to tell a storyAnd he's doing a piss fucking poor job of that.
We ever gonna address the fact that the original timeline's Annie is dead, and we've been following temporal clones since Chapter 8?
>>153139297It gets mentioned in these threads a lot that the Annies getting merged to "solve" the two Annies doesn't really make sense compared to how the comic suggested that these were two separate Annies who were never split from each other. Unless you mean the comic itself addressing this.
>>153139297The Norn chapter debunked ghostboy's claim there. There is no problem. Everything Kat did happened perfectly.
>>153139297they see my d*ck
>>153139331Wait I somehow completely misread your post, that's a separate issue entirely.
>>153139353It didn't debunk it, it reinforced it. She's only here because punished Kat made a timeline where she saved annie.
>>153137796>>153139358This unironically might be the most unintentionally suggestive panel in the comic.
>>153138169>>153139358Why are they so attractive together Jesus Christ
>>153139424Kat changed history. There was no timeline where sad Kat went crazy and changed the past. We saw it happen. What we see actually happens matters more than characters just saying things or speculating.
>>153139625You never see punished kat.She made a stable timeline where annie didn't die because the stable timeline kat also "saves" her.
so is time stronger than the ether cycle or is the ether cycle stronger than timecause supposedly there are timelines/alternate realities where omega didn't get recycle binned
>>153139625>What we see matters more>(We didn't see anything at all)bravo tom
>>153139625You literaly posted kat telling you about a punished kat. Are you retarded?
>>153139297yeah this is explained here>>153139625technically all Annies are shifted. Originally Annie fell off the bridge between the Court and the Woods.and died. The Kat of that timeline eventually figured out how to fuck with time and rescue Annie in a way that creates a stable loop. The Kat of our timeline shows how her part of the loop looks like, which is making the the Tick Tock birds on her own and visiting the Nords who help her put them in the correct points in time. The Nords are purposely vague about the original Kat and how she set up the loop. Omega predicted Annie would die and her prediction not coming true due to Kat's influence sets up a lot of things in the story
>>153139826Nobody liked it, but we saw it happen.>>153139880Kat was speculating and she was wrong. This story is full of unreliable narrators and red herrings. Remember Steadman and how he ultimately didn't matter at all?
>>153140422>Kat was speculating and she was wrong. You're retarded. It's simple bootstrap paradox (which is not one of the "really hard" paradoxes to understand). Kat is correct and you are a moron.
>>153139996There is no "other timeline" Kat. They're vague about it because the visits they've already had were from Kat's future.
>>153140471Go ahead and ignore what Tom actually shows in the comic in favor of your head canon so you can keep complaining about how he's not "addressing" something he considers already resolved.
>>153140491>T-T-TOM SAID!>*is physically incapable of comprehending what he just read*bizarre cultism
>>153140513It's not "Tom said" it's what Tom does in the comic. Here >>153139297 ghostdrop boy says "I can't fix the Annies, you need temporal affairs." Later on the Norns say "We can't fix this, we only handle temporal affairs." Because the previous character was wrong.
>>153140590>literally too mentally retarded to understand what he just readIt's crazy watching cultists get started, the amygdala throbs and there here comes the crashout
>>153139424I NEED to see the chapter that shows how original timeline Kat goes full on Kang and nearly destroys reality over Annie. Look at this, even she pointed out how fucking strange it is that the Norns are just letting her do this. What the actual fuck happened where they went "Nope. Fuck it, we just let her. Oh my god."?
>>153137101
No seriously. What did she do?
>>153141283It's pretty obvious, what >>153141221 said.First Kat undoubtedly spent her life an obsessed wreck. Whether she solved time travel as a girl or an old gray bitter woman we'll never know beyond headcanon, but it was certainly within that realm.
>>153141283I don't see any indication they're talking about Kats from other timelines. There is simply Kat at different stages in her life. All of this is preordained.
>>153141404Your retarded take grows more ice cold the more you try to force it. Take the L and calm down.
>>153135363>To me Zimmy's "they're stuck" means people can't normally navigate in the distorted court. It's probably much more horrifying.
>>153135746>Calling it now, Kat is gonna be the one rushing to school with a piece of toast in her mouth.imagine if she collides with Annie
>>153141829One of my long running complaints is there hasn't been sufficient demonstration that life in the distortion is all that horrible. Even though there are a few things on paper that were bad that happened. They walked past some spiders once, and baldie died. Baldie dying was supposed to be a big STAKES thing but instead of digressed into a comedy chapter about rights management. So it ultimately didn't feel like anything at all. After they walked past the spiders, it seems like everyone has just been living their lives normally in the "distorted court". Maybe. We're not really sure because everybody ceases to exist unless they're onscreen with Annie. Last I remember Annie was "doing a great job getting everyone organized!" by depositing every side character in the gymnasium and leaving them in stasis like unloaded game assets so she could have a witch fight. I only feel any sense of urgency out of this entire state of affairs because I can logically conclude that it's SUPPOSED to feel urgent from a common narrative perspective but the author has not actually communicated any of that to me through his art or writing.
>>153141473Your argument has so little substance all you can do is rely on empty ad hominem.
>>153141966Annie and her friends legitimately have no idea what life is like for Zimmy, Gamma, and the others. They're acting based on assumptions. It's ironic.
>>153142375That's incorrect, the argument is based on the actual fact that you are mentally retarded. The very comic pages posted in this thread prove you are mentally retarded, and the fact you continue trying to assert that you are not mentally retarded is why it is a logical assessment to state that you are now crashing out, because you said something foolish and your amygdala can't handle the embarrassment of it not holding up.
>>153142421You get your kicks saying sentences with zero substance in a dumb webcomic thread.
>>153142536You wouldn't be feeling this pain right now if you'd learn to let go after saying something stupid and unsubstantiated. I don't expect you to never post anything dumb ever, but you have to learn to take the L when it doesn't bear out.
>>153135387>Clean Zimmy
>>153141283>You are just a smart and brave and wonderful person who never ever poops!Great writing
>>153142715That chapter made me learn the definition of nadir.
Either I'm getting big "Boss Baby" vibes here or Tom's decided no one remembers Madoka
>>153142827Based incomprehensible poster
>>153142587Making Zimmy pretty feels like violence.
>>153138941If that's how you feel I'm curious as to why you're still here. It doesn't matter what quality you feel the story has in any case, the point is his decision is sound. If he wanted two Annies off the bat that would've been neat, perhaps easily better, but it wasn't the case and it's a huge wrench with that in mind. My main point is there's some weird self importance that Tom is acting in accordance with the not even uniform likes and dislikes of /co/. If it was Paranatural I'd get it, they author has openly said he has to actively be unpalatable to us, but as far as I know Tom doesn't give a shit.
Look at how fucking cute they are. God I miss them.
>>153143134It's genuinely crazy how good they look as a couple.
Hey, remember that time Paz gathered two of her homies to jump the Annies in an alley?
>>153143172Right? They're like one of those couples who finish each other's sentences, but without it being creepy.
>>153142867Yeah, it's an attack directly on my penis.
There is no give-a-fuck left in me for this comic
>>153143189Yeah, it was one of the last things she did before she got written out of the comic, rendering this character development about her being obsessively protective pretty much meaningless.
>just had a whole chapter exploring the concept of identity, the purpose of self-image, and insight into the creation process of the new people>next chapter starts off with several pages of Idra walking about being sexy and Annie being simultaneously flustered with gay thoughts and being pissed at Eglamore for seemingly cheating on her senpai... I don't know why anyone was surprised that Tom is a huge weeb.
>>153143582I didn't think the Annies were having gay thoughts here (about anyone besides each other). I think they were just uncomfortable with how obvious Idra made it that she was getting her elf box beaten just before answering the door and how they had to act polite while his shirt rides up her ass to the point they can see his man chowder dripping out of her. There was probably also a smell. It was pretty hot. I bet they just wished it was them.
>>153138309>>Omega>This is the biggest "literally why" for me, she was basically a new character that got killed off almost immediately and off-page. The fuck was that? Not just a new character, but one who had been foreshadowed for years, was the answer to an important mystery, and served as the main antagonist for several chapters. But as soon as her plot was done, she gets tossed into the trash. What a waste.
>>153143134I miss them so much, bros!
>the mere possibility of the two Annies returning>easily the most active thread in monthsIntadasting...
>>153143582>... I don't know why anyone was surprised that Tom is a huge weeb.I mean a lot of his early stuff was overtly weeb-ish, I think you'd only be surprised if you didn't know his background.
>>153144079These threads are always the most active when even just discussing them, remember that one not long ago where people started talking about the actual psychology of fucking yourself? They're just one of the most beloved parts of the comic at this point.
>>153138183Kat(ALL HAIL THE OMNISIAH)would never pass such a law!
>possible hint at the return of double Annie>+150 postsswoweee
>>153144727I KNEEL
>>153144210>>153144748What an odd phenomenon. The semi-controversial main character gets split in two, and it's the most popular element of the story. To the point where the instant she's fused back together, it's the start of people liking the book less. I've never seen anything like this.
>>153144815The funny thing is that the ritual Antimony hate dropped dramatically when we had Cannie and Fannie
>>153141221Time gods outright say there is a parallel Kat who set up this entire timeline, or at least Annie being alive. It's not even subtle. Why would anyone try to deny it?I'm not even that smart and understod this on my first read.
>>153144815Giving Annie someone she could actually bounce off of lol in a familial way was honestly a really good addition to her character that should have stuck around. They just straight up make Annie more likable. Even putting all the shipping and horny posting aside, I think it was a mistake to write them out.
>>153144748If this turns out to have just been the distortion settling or something the thread on Friday's going to be nuclear mad lmao
>>153140590The admin ghost was talking about Annie being alive at all, not her being double. The Norns approve of Annie being alive, and are talking about but don't care to act about the doubling. It's basic sitcom misunderstanding, not a direct contradiction. At this point I just assumed Annies constant existance defying nature was why Coyote was interested in her at all, and he was just adding to her mix with the doubling.Annies had in cannon what, at least 5? different gods directly act on her behalf now. Kat, Coyote, Wandering Eye, Norns, and Zimmy. 6 if you count Omega.
>>153144914Clear the blast zone.
>>153144897>They just straight up make Annie more likable. You know what? Yes. She really did mellow out quite a bit after that. It was like coming back from the forest all over again. ... Oh wait, she literally did come back from the forest. It was an intentional parallel and I only just now noticed. Fuck.
>>153144914>>153144966I am desperately trying to not get my hopes up, and it's not working. This had better not be bait, Tom, I swear to god.
>>153145060Get hype!I will break you anon.Coyotes the one that doubled her, and he's part of the distortion.Tee hee :3
>>153145104Naw it'll be a wet disappointing fart. There's literaly no crime zimmy can have done to warrant any of the setup. And Tom trashed genuinely interesting directions for no clear reason, not even speculation can wrap these things together.
Imagine Annie getting out of bed, camera pans to the other side of the room where the other annie is sitting up, annie wishes her a good morning and casually kisses her.
Can someone please explain to me why the witches chased Annie and the gang into the storms eye? I thought they didn't want that?
>>153145966Tom wants the comic to end faster
>>153142856>Based incomprehensible posterI'm saying either Tom is cribbing Madoka's bit (the entire plot turning out to be yuri rescue of light haired girl by dark haired SUPER IMPORTANT girl) or I'm just thinking that because I watched it a decade ago
>>153145060It's going to be real in the dream universe but not once they escape
>>153144897>>153145023Trolling is against the rules, retards. stop pretending to hate antimony. it has NEVER been funny
>>153146415So is ironic shitposting, douchebag
>>153146415I don't hate Annie, I just think she was even better with her double around. Please do not include me in your schizo ramblings, thank you for your attention to this matter.
Annie being a useless sucker of cocks as per usual
>>153143189Everything the Annies do is so cute and fun. Not cute and funny, she's not that young anymore.
>>153144946>The admin ghost was talking about Annie being alive at all, not her being double. The page was posted in this very thread >>153139297He's very specifically talking about doubles here. Even mentions "the creature that shifted your friend" right after saying it was for temporal affairs, which ended up being wrong.
>>153147363Annie is a bad influence on herself.
>>153143043Because I enjoy watching how bad this shitshow is going to get, pissant. Keep crying that this garbage comic is getting the thrashing it deserves.
Get in the ether Kat or Paz would have to do it again.
You ever wonder what Annie would look like in the real life?
>>153148905wow, is that some 2023-level basic bitch aislop?
>>153148905not like this
>>153148905We already know.
>>153148905Practice more
>>153150462>birbsThat's Kat with dyed hair
I would've like to see the two of them thirsting over Jones more.
>>153150550Terrible
>>153147464>neither should be here
>>153150623How is it that Tom writes this and is like "yeah I can't wait to end this"?
>suddenly GC threads are popular again
>>153151046It "contradicts the ending" remember? Couldn't possibly just change it. This weird stubborness is what killed Game of Thrones. They had an ending in mind, but refused to account for the fact that various factors will inevitably alter the direction of a story from its initial road map. You gotta be flexible about these things.
>>153151078Two Annies is just two good
>>153151129I've seen people change their ending because of an unforeseen yet fun and popular development. Or at least milk it for all its worth.
>>153151556Indeed, but Tom for some reason claims to be resolute on his ending that he's had planned. Either that or it's just bullshit and he wrote them out for other reasons.
>>153151651I really don't understand what his ending could even have that two Annies would conflict with. If they need to die, they both die, if they need to become some kind of god, they both do and just get treated as two aspects of the same god, if it's a relationship issue, just have them both hook up with the same character. Not like this comic hasn't touched on unusual relationships.
>>153151689Right? This is why nobody really buys that explanation, it just doesn't hold up to scrutiny. >if it's a relationship issue, just have them both hook up with the same characterJones. You can just say Jones.
>>153151718Annie actually ending up with her teacher figure that's canonically groomed children would be really fucking crazy based
>>153151745Annie is blatantly smitten with Jones-sensei and pretty much always has been. She'd be perfectly okay with having a mildly problematic relationship with her. She's a rebel like that.
>>153151900It has to be Rey.It NEEDS to be Rey.I need it to be Rey.
>>153151900I mean yeah Annie clearly has a mega crush on her, that actually working out to a reciprocal relationship is a whole other can of worms that I'm not sure we'll see happen unless Tom goes full omegabased mode.
>>153144042Omega was really fun but I think her death is going to be important for something. In a way it feels like a parallel to the situation with Jeanne, both of them had their souls trapped in the court by technology for centuries until Annie sent one into the ether and Kat sent the other.
>>153152053I mean, it's not impossible, given that the first part of Chapter 99 is mostly Annie failing to be normal about seeing Jones naked. Seriously, that face.
>>153152142You just know Annie was replaying that image in her mind, maybe imagining the two of them banging, and even though she was trying to stay cool her face was totally giving it away. And Jones 100% knows what's going on just from how much experience she has with humans, but doesn't feel the need to address it in this moment.
>>153152230>>153152230>You just know Annie was replaying that image in her mind, maybe imagining the two of them banging, and even though she was trying to stay cool her face was totally giving it away. I mean, can you really blame her? >And Jones 100% knows what's going on just from how much experience she has with humans, but doesn't feel the need to address it in this moment.Oh she definitely knows. Probably just waiting until she's legal. Assuming she's not already. It's weirdly ambiguous as to what age our main characters are right now.
>the line of sight on these panelsRemember how everyone got baited into thinking this was Omega in disguise? Turns out she was just horny. Amazing.
>>153152142It was really funny how when Annie actually sees Jones naked she acts completely nonplussed, but then has this shit-eating grin on her face for the rest of the time they're together in that chapter.
>Being with tens if not hundreds of thousands of years of sexual experience that can control every single muscle in its body down to the most precise movementsVs>VirginWouldn't Jones basically just mindbreak Annie
>what you expectedMagical mysteries, teenage shenanigans >What you gotYuri shit
>>153152717>Yuri shitBut that's what I expected. The problem is that it hasn't happened with Annie and Kat.
>>153153135Imagine if Annie ends up with Kat.It'll be like finding out what the One Piece is.
>>153152280>It's weirdly ambiguous as to what age our main characters are right now.Annie's and her friends are mostly 14-15 year-olds. Her old class was in the middle of year 10 (except Annie herself, who's a no-good delinquent that had to repeat a year) before Loup trashed the court.Smitty is two and Parley three years above them in the sixth form (whatever that means).
>>153152717You're about 16 years too late to be making this complaint m8
>>153153209I thought Annie was 16 before Loup's time warp shenanigans which took place over the course of at least several months, and since then an indeterminate amount of time has passed.
>>153153209>[...]Year 7 is the first year of secondary school, and is the equivalent of 6th grade in the US. Children in Year 7 are 11 - 12 years old.
>>153153244This is about right. We actually know from Tom's comments that Forest Annie talked to Loup for 6 months. For a more accurate analysis of the time that's passed since that year 10 page, you'd have to look at their clothing and thereby determine the seasons, but it's been at least one year I believe. Annie is at the very least 15 years old currently, I think.
>>153153320She's 15 on the low end and 18 on the high end depending on how you read the passage of time. Kind of wish Tom would give us some kind of update with that.
>>153153320It's very possible that her minimum age is actually 16 now, but you'd have to go through the chapters and track how much time has passed by looking at their clothes, like I said, and I can't be bothered to do that.
>>153134814>chapter 102jesus, wrap it the fuck up already
>>153153343Worth noting at least that the Year 10 image was at the end of Chapter 50, which was 52 chapters ago. Not that time's progressed linearly through each chapter, but I'd bet at the absolute bare minimum a year's passed. That was before they even had the confrontation with Jeanne.
>>153153403Yeah. Last time I kinda tried to track the time I figured that Annie should have been about 17 by the time the two annies ended, but I can't be bothered to confirm that assessment right now. There's been another timeskip since then, though.
sniffing Annie's morning hair....
>J-Jones-senpai!
>>153153209why did Tom think this was even ironically funny
>>153153246>The soap bar head years
GSF
>>153150923That's in response to a question Kat asks at the end of the comic. They weren't talking about that at the beginning of the strip.
>>153137853One of the reasons why I love Dungeon Meshi: the author is often using these kinds of shenanigans to explore the characters' minds and relationships
>>153150550Yours looks like a cartoonish Latina girl. Here's a more recent attempt of mine (very lazy on my part as all I really do is take a picture of real-life actress Carina Battrick and ask ChatGPT to make her look like Antimony Carver).
It's really funny how Annie is taller than Jones.
>>153156136Near the end of Evac, one of the last chapters before we get the two Annies, we get some panels of Annie and Jones walking together where Annie looks just slightly shorter than Jones. During your teenage years, you grow 3 - 4 inches per year at most, typically more like 2.5. I think that means it's safe to assume that going off of this height difference that it's been an least a year and a half since Evac.
>>153156136I wonder how tall Jones is? 4'11", or is she a midget? Here's another attempt of mine at recreating live-action Annie but being about 4'11" tall.
>>153156986Whoops forgot the image
>tfw senpai is so tiny and cute!
>>153153448There was 6 months timeskip in the forest. "Several months" between entering the forest and Jeanne. Probably more months between that and the start of the school year.I would say the twinning happened a year after the start of year 10, so she (or at least court Annie) was around 16 at the time. I doubt it was more than a couple of months before the merging, so she probably was still 16 then and 17 now.The only frame of reference I found was that immediately after the merging it was mentioned that she and her friends still had to do homework, so they weren't old enough to graduate yet.
>>153155259>Yours looks like a cartoonish Latina girl. It's Meg Griffin.
>>153156970>>153157029So basically, Annie is vaguely 17 - 18-ish now?
I'm pre-ing in anticipation for Annies tonight. Don't blue my balls, Tom.
>literally no interest in this strip left that isn't dyke shipping a bland girl everyone can self insert as with:> The emotionless golem> The spunky quirky gearhead sidekick who gets wet at the thought of sacrificing herself for Annie because she has no chance at actual romance with her> Herself but even dullerThis is Tom Siddell's puerile narrative achievement after a decade and a half, the Anniebowl

>>153159503
>>153159503Cringe.
It amazes me that nobody in Gunnerkrigg Court has expressed any sexual attraction to Annie whatsoever after over twenty years while Kat and a few others get all the attention. Is Tom doing this on purpose?
>>153160690Give that Annie's shown blatant attraction to other characters I'd say so. It's not like Tom doesn't think of Annie in a romantic context, so the lack of any kind of interest or reciprocation feels very intentional.
It's amazing how much /co/ bands together in harmony and peace from the shitposting and engages in meanful discussioon and productive art when the story turns into slice of life hebes doing slice of life hebe things.
>>153161075When is GC ever slice of life? Double Annie's was never domestic, they still did only adventures.
