The guy was obviously tormented, with The Maxx comics eventually succumbing to pure depression porn and story dead-ends. I could never bring myself to read all of 'My Inner Bimbo,' however, and the Wolverine comic with the ghost of the little girl was frankly kind of terrible. From what I understand he got into a sexual relationship with a much older lady as a teen and it kind of fucked him up.

Those last handful of Maxx issues were rough. To this day I can't decide whether I hate or like Mr Gone's origin story. But at least now i have some context.
