Was it the greatest fumble in animation history?
This poster is from season 3.
>>153153725it's insane how badly they botched the designs of the new characters. the arrogance of the designers to even extend their "vision" into "fixing" joan's head.
>>153153725The only good thing to come out of the clone high reboot was Topher.
>>153153861And the cleo ass expansion scene
>>153154683
>>153154817I found an edit where her ass gets even bigger once
>>153153774Season 3 was weirdly better yet weirdly enhanced season 2's worst trait. Trying to get you to take the angst, the very subject of the parody, seriously. The clones jumping between relationships as the love triangles get progressively more convoluted could have worked as a great fucking comedic plot point but I'm supposed to take the AbeJoanHarrietConfusciusToussantJFK web seriously. It would have been great comedy for how many teen-aimed shows over rely on angsty emotional affairs, in the vein of S1. But the fact they actually treated it like a serious plot point just screamed why the show itself didn't work well as a clone high successor
Every time someone says "go woke go broke" isn't a real thing I just bring up the Clone High reboot, that shuts them up instantly.
>>153153725This reboot makes me glad that The Oblongs will remain dead
Did anyone actually want it back?
>>153153725I liked Frida and Cleopatra's relationship

>>153155600A shame she's so fucking ugly. They downplay her ugliness in fanart.
>When the creators were talking about the first season >"You know what the biggest problem of the original series was? Only 1 woman writer! So we fixed that and filled the writing women with women!>Produces some of the worse shit everTy women
>>153155600It’s just Ugly bastard but with no dick. So I guess bulldyke but if your bulldyke was a Chihuahua you could fit in your purse.
>>153158414>but if your bulldyke was a Chihuahua you could fit in your purse.Your making my dick confused
>>153158365based women making chuds seethe
>>153158443based women making women never get a job or taken seriously anymore.
>>153153725Apparently what happened was the original creators had grown sentimental and instructed their team to make the new show more genuine. They also likely made the terribly dumb decision to play up the zoomer fashion for the new characters to make them stand out more, even though the generation gap isn't an actual important part of the show. The attempt to be sincere in some level destroyed the show. Clone High only balanced the teen drama with the cartoonishness of the rest of the show because the former was all ironic. With the plot being loosely sincere, suddenly you have adolescent melodrama and sexuality with childish cartoon nonsense, which put together made the show really unfun to watch.>>153153774Season 3 was so much better than 2, it's a shame by that point it was already over. A season 4 with Gandhi brought back could have worked.
>>153155371The angst and melodrama being taken seriously was the death knell of the whole show. You just can't have both the cartoonish elements with the teenage angst without it becoming really jarring, infantile, and confused. It would have been a better idea to completely ditch the comedy and do a fully played-straight drama.Or, the obvious thing of just parodying contemporary teen shows instead
>Man, I wish *good thing* would come back
>>153153725>Was it the greatest fumble in animation history? If anything, it's behind the scene problems reveal a fascinating massive generational divide where we've become so far removed from old TV trends that young writers of today don't even understand the jokes a not-that-old satirical cartoon was making.
>>153158894I don't think it was Lord & Miller who asked for Clone High to be "more sincere." They were loosely involved and reprised Scudworth and JFK's voices, sure, but they appointed Erica Rivinoja as showrunner and SHE went in that direction. We gotta figure out what her deal is...
>>153158414The stereotypical lesbian couple is a hot chick with a bulldyke.
>>153158983>jarring, infantile, and confusedMillential writers.
>>153158220All her rule 34 is on model youre just boring and cuckolded
>>153160734Ok but this bulldyke is a tiny little rat, so she looks less like a bull and more like a more like a happy little mutt.
>>153158983>Or, the obvious thing of just parodying contemporary teen shows insteadI really don't know why they didn't. The mere idea of the cast getting embroiled in a fucking Riverdale-style over the top murder mystery is hilarious.
>>153159072Me when I wanted more I Hate Fairyland.I am still mad
