Why can't cartoons look like this anymore?
>>
>>153171311
Because that was the equivalent to James Camerons' Avatar back then
>>
>>153171311
>Lois and her bullshit
>>
>>153172796
Shut up
>>
>>153171311
Nice. That was before he could fly.
>>
>>153171311
Wtf they ripped off Star Wars!
>>
>>153171311
Even when this was released, cartoons did not look like that, so what do you mean?
>>
>>153171311
No more dinosaurs to rotoscope anymore
>>
>>153173232
>Even when this was released, cartoons did not look like that
Tell me what you meant by thks first.
>>
>>153173395
What do you mean? The Fleischer Superman shorts are known for being well-animated at the time in comparison to what was coming out.
>But Snow White!!! Pinocchio!!!
That's a movie with a movie budget.
>>
>>153171311
It looks like shit though
>>
>>153173428
Some Tom and Jerry, Disney, and Bugs Bunny cartoons have the same quality of animation like this
>>
>>153173576
you really think that, don't you.
>>153173478
your whore mother looks like shit, especially after she finished with her boyfriend of the week while you sit in the basement like the troll you are

>spraying fire hoses at Godzilla
>>
>>153171311
They can, but you gotta do it yourself basically. Too expensive for studios.
>>
>>153172832
I mean, Fleischer really didn't want to do it so they gave them an obscenely high scare quote for what it would cost in order to get them to leave them alone, but their bluff got called.
>>
>>153173622
>you really think that, don't you
You tell me if they're of similar quality

Meanwhile, 20 years earlier
>>
>>153174030
i'm not arguing with someone who won't even post any examples of this similar quality to superman fleischer
>>
>>153171311
our kids don’t have time to draw anymore
>>
>>153174035
Source?
>>
>>153173428
>That's a movie with a movie budget.
These were basically small movies back then they played before the main feature
>>
>>153171311
Looks so silly when just jump all around, making him fly was indeed the best idea.
>>
>>153171311
Because
>>
>>153172832
he's right though, this shit was arguably one of the highest budget animations of that time, Keep in mind this was made during WW2 in which 90% of the economy headed straight to war
>>
>>153177140
If they could do it then it would be even easier and cheaper to do it now
>>
>>153177230
Why do you think it would be easier and cheaper? Have you ever animated anything or worked in an animation studio?
>>
>>153171311
because it doesn't sell anymore
the paying audiences for cartoons now are kids who just want flashy paw patrol garbage or manchildren who still think seth rogen is hilarious

i love trains
>>
Yeah, let's turn back to slave labour for our animation. That'll help somehow.
>>
>>153171311
Because that one short probably cost more than a modern shows entire first season
>>
>>153171311
Cost benefit analysis you fucking retard, next question.
>>
>>153171311
because it takes time and talent to make and producers and those at the top are coked out drug addicts that want their le money now
>>
>>153171311
too expensive and time-consuming
>>
>>153177140
>>153178156
Social media normies who go like "WTF how does this 90/80/70 year old animation look so good" don't understand how animation works, they think it's like video game graphics. Like American TV cartoons in the 60s and 70s didn't suck because the technology regressed, but because the US didn't take animation seriously at the time and produced them as cheaply as possible, then the attitude started changing in the 80s when even toy commercial cartoons were given some care

It's been DECADES since they looked that good. Fleischer was on another level. That's like asking why your home cooked meals aren't as good as the ones at fine dining restaurants. And yes I did do a food metaphor. Big deal you wanna fight about it?
>>153172824
Yup
>>
>>153171311
That would require heart and soul, something USA has sold at a cheap discount.
>>
>>153171311

did nobody mention how that bridge bent like rubber when the monster hit it then snapped clean off without crumbling the bridge?
>>
>>153178604
Oh wow I don't remember this one at all!
>>
>>153178637
Attagirl!
>>
>>153183252
That's a bit extreme, but...

Man, modern Lois Lane ain't shit.

God I love this theme song.

They can, it's just that it's made by the Japs.
