Im bored, leaking artwork for the upcoming Duffy and Friends show by Disney TVA that was announced in D23, 2022.

Disney dropped Stoopid Buddy for the project due their losses during the SAG-AFTRA and WAG strikes, it will be announced at this year's Annecy with Ancient Order of the Wooden Skull being the new stop-motion studio.

Duffy will NEVER become popular in the west. He will bomb again like the prior two attempts. Those characters are too generic and do not match western sensibilities to mascot character designs. What appeals to Asian cultures with these mascot characters does not appeal to western cultures.
Even trying to slightly redesign him here to be less generic is admitting it never will. You would think at some point they would look at what Figment or Orange Bird does as park mascots and why they work in the west vs Duffy

Yes these are official but no these aren't leaks, these seem to be posted by the artist with permission to Behance signifying the project is probably dead
The funny thing is they wanted something nostalgic and ghibli inspired, whether he actually delivered that... is up to you I guess
