I loved the original 1987 Duck Tales and grew up on Banks and Rosa Donald Duck comicbooks, so I wonder how the new-ish show holds up.I've already watched the first 3 episodes and so far, I really like it, it's very cute and charming. Is the rest of the show as good as the first few episodes?

>>153197858I found the first season outside of the introductory episodes to be bo-o-oring, like an unfunny knock-off of Gravity Falls. The second and third seasons are better, less generic. Glomgold hard carries the show. Overall a decent cartoon that Disney probably had higher expectations for.

Later seasons have a lot of one to two-shot cameo episodes switching between characters from pretty much anything marginally related to ducks or Disney Afternoon, where maybe 1-3 of the core 8 are present or relevant and the rest are the cameo characters. Do not get attached to any particularity one, especially Scrooge as he appears far less often than a main character shouldAlso you can ignore the series finale exists

OP here. I guess nobody cares - I'm surprised this thread is still up, but I watched the first season and so far, I genuinely like the show. It has a lot of heart and effort put into it. I like how every character now has a distinct personality, not just the triplets, but even Webby, Ms Beakley and Gyro, who I thought never had much personality to begin with in the original show. I like that every character is modernized, but still stays true to their original personalities. And the humor most of the time works.I guess some of the slice of life episodes are a bit slow and I think Lena can fuck off honestly, but I don't have many negatives so far.Also, I really enjoy the Polish dub, especially the voice actor that plays Scrooge.Thank you for reading my blog.
