The only way for body to work is via some supernatural means, like the "brainscan" that took place for everyone 'literally sucked them into digital space

There's a reason why, after just one adventure, Pomni grew so fond of him that she hugged him, even though she hates physical contact.

Pomni's character starts with her feeling isolated and like she can't relate to anyone in the Circus, until she learns to make friends with everyone and then takes Kinger's lesson to heart. Now that she's seeing Jax heading towards the state she was once in, she wants to prevent that.
