Smiling friends was an okay show, better shows have been forgotten but Smiling Friends will be forever remembered because of the parasocial relationship the fanbase has with Zach and OneyPlays. The Pilot was the best episode and the show is a solid 7/10 but that's as far as it went. It felt more like a template for all the jokes Zach and Michael made throughout the years to be put in rather than something with a heart and soul and that's okay but to pretend like it was ever gonna be the next Rick and Morty was always delusional. The original fanbase carried it and Zach & Michael were right to end it prematurely. Zach's style of humor just works better for short bits he used to do instead of a full-on show.
