I don't really want to see a time skip, because post timeskip Homer and Marge are usually depicted as pathetic and wrinkled. Homer is the main character of the show, and most timeskip episodes are about Bart and Lisa. I don't see how a timeskip would really do anything positive for Homer and Marge.
