How would you define it?
When does a show stop being indie? When it receives funding from a major corp, or when the corp becomes involved in its development/direction?

>loki irl lumped in with autistic looking shit

Indie just means there’s no major corporation involved. Glitch isn’t a major corporation.

Fuck Jacob Lenstar, he's a prude hypocrite that mandates no porn of Derby, yet he's started to draw her with bigger tits in revealing outfits as time goes on.

Is Homestar Runner indie? Is selling merch "indie"?

Who's the fat blue furry guy from?

Indie = selling point, "Support Local"
It means different things to different people

These days, when the creator owns the IP and is free to do whatever they like with it. It's virtually impossible to avoid any kind of corporate entanglement and still make money, especially online, you could say about anyone who uploads videos to YouTube:
>but it's on a Google platform and they're making money from it so it's not indie
Same with games published on Steam, comics published through Amazon etc.
>>
"indie" is just a vibe. There is no cut and dry definition. TADC rides the line for me, because while Glitch is small, it isn't *that* small, and the creators still sign over the rights to their IP just like any other studio. I wouldn't argue if someone didn't think Glitch was indie, let's put it that way.

If you're doing it independently, yes.

Why do people on here hype up this guy when he’s a pedophile who makes dandy’s world and horse show Elsagate EPI slop.
>>
Why does the blue fox look like it's from some fat fur animation by some random guy who's been doing the same copy and paste shit on flash for decades since when he was a confused teenager?
>>

When it stops being independent.
>"but what abo-"
No buts.

But Goose has full control over TADC. That's why it's only 9 episodes instead of being milked to death, although they're already doing that with merch.

i think they're all indie, but you're probably more interested in the budget and team size

low budget indies feel different from high budget ones with massive teams

Glitch is indie relative to Hollywood employees, and corporate relative to independent artists. I think part of it is when we talk about artistic freedom, the creator and maybe the development team at most is considered an artist in the corporate mindset and more freedom for top level decisionmakers is treated like more freedom for art, but the product is still made using a mystery machine of other employees and vendors whose contribution is taken for granted.

Absolutely.

I think is in the written dialogue if they sound like disney characters is not indie animation
