Biggest problem for me is that the gaang apart from Aang and kind of Katara felt like window dressing and nothing more. The felt more like an extension of Katara rather than their own characters.Call me out if it sound too silly, but I think it would've been nice if there had been some dissent between members regarding the big staff quest. Zuko straight up mentioned that it was an opportunity to fix his nation's greatest sin, so he's right up there with Aang feeling the guilt trip. Just something to have some friction over so they can all make up eventually.

Korra's best dynamics with some kind of substance were with Lin and Tenzin, but they didn't get that much time together in total.

I liked the movie, the plot was predictable but I think they got the tone right. it was funny and serious when it had to be serious, small moments in homage to the original.Watching I had high hopes they would retcon Korra, I still wish korra never happened. But I did not hate, but less for the plot and more for the characters and small moments. I think the entire thing would worked better less than a movie and more like a miniseries. A few scenes like the bits where they were in the spirit world felt more like an episode premise and are really jarring and fit little in the story, not really necessary but not exactly bad. The movie was not boring or that stupid that made me want stop watching, that is more I have to say about a lot of things I watched now a days.It gives me a bit of hope for the new series if the premise was not absolute garbage, Unless they lean hard on the Korra hate train I don't see me enjoying much about it, but at least my hype is low, I can't see me being disappointed if is trash.
