THE FIGHT SCENE (besides the Oliver lack of anything and getting space racer fucked just to show off Zoe being cool) WAS WAY BETTER THAN THE COMIC, especially the Nolan and Thragg talk. I loved that so much more.

>>153247769I think that straightforward violence and conquering is something they did when working in teams, but when they shifted to people working individually they changed up the tactics to increase success rates without backup. Stuff like learning the capabilities of the natives before starting the take over, gaining their trust so they can take out key people at the top first, waiting for their moment of weakness, etc. Also, I think with specifically Nolan's mission they're just focused on the "Can you produce a proper Viltrumite with the natives" aspect, they're stretched too thin to look at conquering more planets that can't satisfy that, so the takeover waits until after it's confirmed, otherwise they just bail on the planet to try the next one.

I don't understand how this show manages to be so fucking boring with a premise like this. Like 1 or 2 interesting things happen per an entire episode and every episode is almost an hour long. And the animation is just so unbelievably bad and just sucks the soul out of every action scene.

Robot then betrays both and blows up Mohawk Mark's head and traps regular Mark in that dimension (also killing Angstrom Levy who was being held hostage since Mohawk Mark wanted to use him to access other dimensions to conquer) while he returns, telling everyone Mark was killed. Mark pretends to be Mohawk Mark for several months, recruits that dimension's pre-Rex Robot, and returns to his own dimension where he finds Eve, who he tries to warn about Robot betraying them but she refuses to listen and screams that she never wants to see him again. Anissa shows up while Mark is sulking, the rape happens, and later when Robot does the obvious and betrays everyone and rips Eve's leg off, she lightheartedly plays down her previous fight with Mark with him
