>His spirit was destroyed in The Legend of Korra>2 episodes later people all over the world gain airbending>He never got to find out airbenders returned
>>153249668Hear me out, what if its just the direct link from Avatar to Avatar and now the new girl has to collect them like fucking pokemon if she wants to get the wisdome?
>>153249702The movie clearly shows that they regret the decision to erase the past lives
>Airbender dude spends 5,000 years in a block of ice>miraculously is revived, then dies a week later
>>153249668that's ok, my spirit too was destroyed in the legend of whorra
>>153249840lmao so true
Here me out
>>153249668A lot about Korra in general was just very mean spirited. Korra herself was also a pretty mean spirited character I do think the new movie steps away from that sort of feeling, even if it does have some korra style awkwardness when it comes to world building. It gives me some hope for the new show
Even then, in the end, it doesn't really matter, because Korra ended up somehow causing the apocalypse that caused the complete reset of society, meaning that the Airbender culture Aang loved and cherished so much so fucking dead anyways
>>153249668>His spirit was destroyed in The Legend of KorraNo, Raava's backup memory of him was erased. Aang, his predecessors and Korra all share the same soul. Raava just had their individual memories/experiences backed up in her.
>>153250089The next avatar is gonna have to do some balance restoring
>>153249702>already has korra>abuses her regularly>everytime a new one is added korra gets shat on more>she can’t leave since she is stuck as the new root
I never watched Korra, I don't read the comics, nothing after the first 61 episodes are canon The movie was fun though, despite it's glaring flawsI'm going to write fanfics instead
>>153250089How is Korra such a disaster of an avatar.
>>153250992It’s unironically not her fault, the spirits are never portrayed as anything but hostile invading assholes and that’s most likely going to be the reason the world ended. Losing the avatars was bad, but a lot of people trusted Unalaq, even Zaheer and the Red Lotus.
>>153251071>spirits are hostileAnd who decided to unleash them onto the world?
