My only complaints about this show is how it's a rip off of other shows (DBZ, DC characters) and the retarded sex scenes, plus Debbie is a whore.
>>153251018>rip off of other shows (DBZNo
>>153251037>Both races on the verge of extinction>Both races thrive on genocide and conquering other planets>Mark is a hybrid just like the saiyan hybridsCope harder retard
>>153251097You are coping, faggot, the creators literally said that they’ve never heard of DBZ.
>>153251097Eh, I wouldn't be surprised if it was a rip off but realistically I can see why someone would make the same race twice.Brutal space gods aren't that hard to think of, even our irl myths are like that.Kryptonians and Saiyans get compared a lot too, despite the geographical differences.Kirkman does seem a little hacky though.

>>153251097>>153251138Invincible started around the same time as the DBZ dub started airing in the US, on Cartoon Network. They recycled Omniman for it from a previous run, and he is literally "what if superman but Krypton was evil?" Toriyamas retcon about Goku being an alien baby sent from a dying planet was also inspired by Superman, but its convergent evolution. The few narrative similarities are inevitable based on them both being fucking Superman, not one being copied from the other
>>153251293The funny thing about Dragon Ball is that while Goku's backstory was clearly inspired by Superman, but the similarity ended at the "superpowered baby human-looking alien" part, but then in the later years Toriyama made the Saiyans more sympathetic and retconned Goku's story into a carbon copy of Superman's
>>153251140I stand corrected, I rescind my shit-itcisim.>>153251293I guess if you look through any and all fiction you are going to find a lot of parallels, sometimes the best ideas are the same as everyone else's.It's pretty interesting to see Goku go from a Monkey King expy, to a kung fu child and then into Shonen Jesus. Now he's packaged with Superman as the most 'powerful' character in fiction (not really true since making a character the strongest is piss easy when you are the one writing it).
>>153251320Toriyama was never that big on planning out his stories the way some mangaka did and still do today.Dbz was always whatever he felt worked best in the moment, rather than a maticulous work. He's still a great artist and I'd argue an 'fun' story teller but he was willing to chop and change based on reading the room, which is why his inconsistencies are so damning:>he thought ss3 was supposed to be ss2 at one point, that's what you get for drawing it the same as ss1 with sparky sparksIt worked out well for him, he made serious cash and has a great legacy behind him.He also worked on plenty of other stuff.
Sources tell me Theadus is stablePlease god
>>153251401I wonder if the line that Beerus wiped out the dinosaurs in Battle of Gods was a Toriyama thing because it totally sounds like something from him. Like he wanted to be cheeky and clever but forgot that the DB Earth has always been a weird place with living dinosaurs.
>>153251018>multiple Invincible threads>I'm going to start my own new thread because I want extra attention to my own specific special opinion
