It was a mediocre attempt to recreate the success of Teen Titans Go. It's difficult to really say anything deeper than that. This wasn't anyone's passion project or dream job, it was something obviously thought up by executives after one show (TTGO) became surprisingly big. So the extremely exaggerated defense that it had at the time is pretty ridiculous. The comedy itself is nothing remarkable, it's just a clone of what you've seen in TTGO and Gumball already.

I never watched either of those shows so I can't say if it's a good or bad copy. I only know the older Thundercats shows. Maybe if I watched TTGO I'd hate it too, regardless of whether it was first and the original template.
