The past and future world colliding was very novel for its time.

Bigger problem in the crossover is that the Thornberries kinda suck. Eliza is annoying. The monkey is annoying. Only Nigel is remotely fun. Secondary to that is that this is the zombie era of Rugrats with all the cast bloat.
