For all it's failings like plenty of lame episodes and characters the show is still pretty watchable. Pretty much everyone I've heard talk about it say the same they watch the show because they grew to like the characters. The show doesn't make me laugh out loud or has great character development like any other show I would invest this much time into but it has charm about it that keeps you coming back. Like some times it will have an endearing episode with the kids or maybe a charming 80s movie style low stakes adventure. It's just a comfy show
