The episode is plenty funny, and Pomni's antics are especially, seeing her so obviously horny was fucking great, but that doesn't mean there's no internal struggle going on about whether she made the right choice to let go of him or not. It's an unfair situation placed on her, but at the end there's an emotional catharsis for both of them. Even though they've been awkward the whole episode, and even if the goodbye is a little awkward, they can still part ways on polite terms. Pomni's catharsis is staying steadfast in her choice and sparing Gummigoo from more of her awkwardness, because it was making him clearly uncomfortable. Gummigoo acknowledges that she stopped for his sake, even if he doesn't understand what's going on with her, and in turn reciprocates her being polite with him giving his own polite farewell after he's able to relax for basically the first time all episode.
