I have never watched an entire episode of Teen Titans Go. I watched the movie on an airplane ride out of curiosity. I expected it to be like the Minions movies; shallow, but fun and occasionally sincere. It was not nearly as funny, as smart, or as interesting as the Minions movies. It felt like there were about 20 minutes of plot, so they stuffed it with an hour of overly drawn-out gags. It also annoyed me that every Titan except Robin is basically the same character. I mean they all react to things in basically the same way; they don't act like different people who have different ways of thinking. Like they'll have Beast Boy do something dumb, and it seems appropriate for him, but then they'll have Cyborg, Starfire, and Raven all do the same dumb thing, in that order.

I assume most episodes of the series are slightly worse than the movie.

Pretty much. The movie is better than the show

What? It was better than any illumination slop

Nta, but better than Mario movies yes, but for the rest, no.

Because the movie was about Robin. In the second movie Raven was almost as serious and mature as 2003 Raven while Starfire, Cyborg and Beast Boy were completely retarded. It's shit writing but it happens in movies, comics, anime, etc. When the main focus is just ONE character, the rest get the bare minimum

Nah, the show is better than the movie because episodes are short so if a joke is good it doesn't overstay it's welcome.

This has always been the biggest problem with TTG because it shows how much the writers don't understand how to actually write comedy. But the show has had a billion episodes now and stupid little kids absolutely love it so what the fuck do I know

This show is either fart jokes or genuine life lessons

I'll say that the movie is much better than the show is but that's not exactly a high bar

This movie had the best Stan Lee cameo

Isn't that more of a Marvel thing?

It's easy to be a beloved show when the network was pushing it since day one, remember those first commercials with the tagline "your new favorite show"? yeah.

Yeah, CN aired this non-stop at the expense of literally everything else, they even lost fucking Pokemon!

Outside of the show itself, this was the biggest complaint about the show
