It genuinely feels like they wrote the whole episode, put the effort into Whatever It Takes, realized they forgot to hit their two song quota, and figured "fuck it, let's just out a backing track over this argument." Basic melody that's just repeated ad nauseam. Boring choreography even by season 1 standards. No elevated emotion until Carmilla ends it. All of the lyrics are just either a pointless character describing herself or them all having an argument that's pretty much just dialogue.

Bit of a blogpost, but I got exposed to the song from my girlfriend streaming the soundtrack before we watched the show. I completely missed that the song revealed that Carmilla killed the angel until we saw the visuals, which tells me enough about how little weight is placed on what should be an important revelation. It's treated as such a throwaway that it's barely mentioned when the Egg Boy reports to Alaster, largely because Whatever It Takes makes the reveal about how the angel was killed redundant. It's a boring song that doesn't even have a point.But, hey, it's not When I Think About The Future, so at least it has that going for it.
