Why do comic readers hate this comic so much? I thought it was neat.
I have never heard anyone say they hate it.
If there's one thing comic book nerds never do it's elaborate on why they hate a comic, it's just the way it is.
Grant Morrison tricked a lot of people into reading a surreal dream logic Vertigo book.

>>153307043>comic readers hate this comicDo they?
>>153307043It's pretty overrated and one of Morrison's shittiest books. Terrible Batman book but a great McKean art book. Just my opinion though
>>153307055You should talk to more comic readers, then.
>>153310592They do.
>>153307043I don't hear many people hate on this book at all. sometimes, but it's not like the most hated Batman comic or anything, even just from the 80s I see more people hating Killing Joke than this.

>>153307043It’s simply not very good. Illegible “avant-garde” art, with awful sequentials that hardly cares about the medium and simply looks to proffer itself as “comics for art snobs”. None of this means it needs to be hated but when manchildren act like it’s anything but dollar bin trash simply because it sold well to cynical “cape comics ain’t just for kids any more” dorks in the 90s it generates more hate than necessary. >>153310779Completely the opposite, if mignola or wrightson or Kelley or Keith had been the artist it might have actually been a solid comic.
I've tried to read it multiple times, but I give up because I hate the art and the awful unreadable Joker dialogue font.I wish Brian Bolland had done the art, like how Grant Morrison had original intended.
One of the most nightmarish depictions of Joker, up there with Bolland's Killing Joke take as one of the top Jokers. This is also the story that really popularized the idea that Joker potentially knows Bruce Wayne is Batman but doesn't care, because being Batman is his true identity.
>>153314346>This is also the story that really popularized the idea that Joker potentially knows Bruce Wayne is Batman but doesn't careAlways hated this idea frankly.
>>153314073>>153314213There it is.
