Unfortunately, staying means the NPC's run for a prolonged period of time and gradually go insane as they start to realise what they are. NPC Jax, having no name except the times Pomni accidentally called him Jax, goes especially off the rails as he tries to figure out who he is and whats happening, and once he finds out the truth, he decides that the only way he can live on is by forcing Pomni to remember him as him rather than just a copy of Jax, so he then starts the whole murder rape stabbing stuff to live on through the trauma he inflicted.
