>So you want me to throw her father into the asylum unless she agrees to marry you? Oh, that is despicable... I love it!
>>153309592this movie looks a lot worse than I remember
>Sonic the Hedgehog arrived>an animation movie got nominated for Best Picture>action cinema peaked (Terminator 2)1991 was a good year
The old inventor WAS a dangerous lunatic.
>>153309592I like how they included this scene solely because it's the only thing Gaston did wrong, and they needed to justify him as the villain.
>>153310283No, kys>>153310329No
Why couldn't Howard Ashman live a little longer?
>>153309670What makes you say that?
>>153309803>>Sonic the Hedgehog arrivedHow is that a good thing?
>>153310397Think of all the joy that laughing at Sonic autists have brought to the world.
Why did Amblin and Universal think it was a good idea to release this on the same day as Beauty and the Beast?
>>153310329He also put his muddy boots on the table, which should be punishable by death.
>>153309592I’d love to see what the inside of that asylum looked like. I assume there were maybe one or two actually crazy or retarded people, and everybody else was normal if slightly quirky, but had some enemy that paid to have them imprisoned and kidnapped. The idea that it was probably a long series of damp dark dirty cells designed to kill people off from pneumonia is a bummer. But it’d be sorta funny to show up to an “insane asylum” and nobody’s insane or even a criminal.
>>153310283How was he dangerous?
>>153310452This shit would make me so mad. I would clock Gaston square in the jaw I'd be so mad. I would give him the ol' wind-up windmill uppercut and sock him right under his chin and send him straight to Sandman. Why, I oughta.
>>153310397The first Sonic game is a work of art and one of the best games ever
>>153310821Sonic was never good.
>>153310870The first game is, especially compared to all the platformers that Sega made before (such as the Alex Kidd games)
>>153310329Yeah, it's to show how during that period of history it was too easy for the man to get his way no matter what stood in his way. If he could just say "the man's a nut, take him away so I can easily have his daughter" then so be it. Plus it's no shock that such a individual would be corrupt; it's not like 18th century Asylums were well funded or giving any shits about their patients beyond containment.
>>153311130Maurice is also a man. I don't think it was a statement on male privilige.
Honestly, anyone caught raving like that should go to the loony bin.
>>153311364Woah slow down Maurice!
>>153309670Yep, I don't jnow if they altered the color grading, tweaked the contrast or what, but the film looks a lot flatter than I remember which, in turn, highlights its flaws. Take for instance the villagers from the beginning of the movie, and I mean really look at them, those are some poor designs.
>>153311206My point is; it was piss easy then to throw someone you don't like into the asylum for either being inconvenient, a burden, or in the way.I still remember "Miss Don't Touch me" where that bitch of a mom lobotomized her son into a toddler because he was gay (and the "hero" didn't give a shit because him being gay meant she couldn't have him either).
>>153310911The first game is included. The series was never good.
>>153310469They were usually super over crowded and staffed by people who got something out of causing suffering or other people with mental problems.
>>153312681It was good for the time
>>153310414You mean being more pathetic and obsessed then the people that like a cartoon rodent a little to much?
>>153310870You are unironically parroting IGN, genuine sheep behaviour.
>>153309592NoYo quiero Taco Bell.
>>153310821I respectfully disagree. The music was beautiful but the gameplay didn't feel fun beyond "I'm playing vidya" fun. And it was probably skill issue, but I never could just run through levels like Sonic is supposed to do.
...Taco Bell.
>>153310334you first tourist
