The entire movie, with no hurt to the production pipeline or deadline times, could have been animated with splined movement and looked 1000 times better, but instead they keep thinking that the dogshit framerate was what made Spiderverse great instead of its art direction. It does not bring anything unique to the table, it does not require more talent than the classic approach, and the result looks like a disjointed attempt of a 3D student forgetting to spline his shit because of it.And then, when you point it out - the dickriders of the movie hop back onto sony's shaft screaming how "you are a pleb who doesnt understand that its supposed to look that way since it emulates anime" or some shit, even though 2D animation had always strived to be as smooth as possible both east and west, and there's zero attempt of making it look 2D in terms of shading (Which is going to look shit and 3D regardless)TLDR the animation style of the movie is beyond dogshit and i wish painful death to everyone who uses it for anything other than clay/doll animation.
