Why does it feel some people here don’t actually read the comics of the characters they talk about, and or get their information from the MCU? It’s especially common amongst spider-man, Tony Stark, Thor,Kang, Wolverine, Thanos, and Loki. Those seem to be the top contenders of “fans who don’t actually read the comics” due to what they spew.
>>153311147Welcome to 4chan, newfriend.
>>153311147It's not just on here, it's also on other places like Twitter or Tiktok or something. Some of it is coming from shills trying to push a narrative for the studios, and so you can't tell if it's a shill or someone who is dumb and arrogant about their knowledge because either angle is possible.
Woah, I wonder if something happened on this board that led to 90%+ of the comic readers leaving.
>expecting cinematic universe secondaries to actually read
>Kangwhat? The others I get, but why him?
>>153312427You'll see a lot of disingenuous opinions and criticism of him as a villain and character that makes it clear that they've not actually read anything about Kang or even glimpsed any of his notable stories and just parrot very nebulous takes.
>>153313820And I’m guessing the MCU’s attempt at adapting him didn’t help things at all
>>153311147-Reading is harder than watching.-Finding where to start with those characters is a bit of a clusterfuck.-Most of their comics suck.
>>153311220/thread
>>153313820This is basically a symptom of a larger issue, people who've never read Avengers or watched any Avengers adaptations deciding to share their hot takes on Avengers characters. Usually it's some "Marvel is just Spider-Man and X-Men and nobody else matters and I refuse to care about them at all ever" basic bitch oldfag arguing that Kang (or whatever other character being discussed) sucks "because if he mattered I'd have heard of him and he'd have been in the cartoons I saw as a kid or in the only comics I ever followed".Eventually these guys are going to age out, but it's going to take a while. And then Kang will be stuck with people who just know him from the MCU, which may just be a sideways move for him.
>>153311554They made a whole separate board for that tho, no excuse
>>153311147Here's a shocker anon:Most people don't read
>>153318039Which is it?
Why is he called a bug if he is so repelling?
>>153311554
>>153318039was mlp really that instrumental in kicking out /co/micfags out of /co/?
>>153311554What, the comics got posted for everyone to see?
>>153313948It's mainly exactly cause of the MCU botching him but I've seen some comic readers who've either not read anything recent with the character, any of his major storylines or clearly just glimpsed over a wiki article and acting like the multiple personas over his time period and the time travel/council of Kang stuff is all there is to him when that's essentially not even all that major a part of him as a villain, only occasionally being mentioned or used compared to Kang just wanting to stave his boredom with his latest conquest and using time travel mainly to just face the Avengers and go to fun locations rather then it being some crazy convoluted Doctor Who antics.
>>153315775EMH is luckily a godsend for so many characters the MCU wasted or have rarely been adapted. Even with the tweaks they make it's usually actually beneficial and good as opposed to detracting.
>>153311147Because.
