What kind of Kamala Khan with the X-Men story would appeal to both X-Men fans and Kamala fans alike?
>>153313178X-bullshit is cancer on characters.
>>153313199Hey now....it's also a cancer on the setting too can't forget that.
>>153313178The x-men have a pool party. Kamala is embarrassed in her conservative burkini. While every other x-women and female student wear provocative and revealing clothing (or just naked) celebrating their mutant heritage.Kamala gets tipsy on mutant one and starts undressing for the pool.
>>153313178Kamala and the X-Men discover that Kamala is not and has never been a mutant.
>>153313178I hate ESLs.
>>153313884>Kamala gets tipsy on mutant one and starts undressing for the pool. It's been awhile since I've read the original first paper back up her series but that kind of reminds me of Kamala getting her drink. I think the term is spiked or something that she drunk some alcohol before she first got her powers at a party she wasn't supposed to be at.
>>153313884>>153313921>gets tipsy on mutant wine
>>153313931>mutant wine>it's actually a kid whose mutation turned his body into wine>they poured him into a couple of bottles and stuck him in the back of the pantry>they've drunk about half of him so far>he's conscious, aware of what's happening to him, and can feel himself being digested

>>153313178To appeal to both camps, a Kamala Khan X-Men story should bridge the gap between her Jersey City "homegrown" heroism and the existential high stakes of the X-Men. Fans of Kamala love her for her relatable teenage struggles and community ties, while X-Men fans value stories about identity, prejudice, and the "found family" of mutantkind. Here is a conceptual story arc that blends these two worlds effectively:The Concept: "The Neighborhood Watch"Instead of moving Kamala to a remote mutant school or an island nation (which often "isolates" her from the things fans love about her), this story brings the X-Men's struggle to the streets of Jersey City.1. The Conflict: The "New Mutant" RegistrationA new political movement begins targeting "unregistered" mutants in suburban areas, claiming they aren't "trained" like the X-Men and are therefore more dangerous. For Kamala Fans: This mirrors the "Outlawed" arc but with a mutant twist. It highlights her struggle to protect her community (Jersey City) while being targeted by the very people she’s trying to save. For X-Men Fans: This leans into the classic "hated and feared" trope, putting the X-Men in a position where they must operate as an underground railroad rather than a paramilitary force.2. The Dynamic: The "Odd Couple" MentorshipPair Kamala with a seasoned, perhaps "grittier" X-Man who contrasts her optimistic personality. The Mentor: Cyclops (Scott Summers) is the perfect choice. In current lore, Scott remembers his time as a teenager with Kamala in the Champions. The Appeal: Seeing a battle-hardened, tactical leader like Scott geeking out over a local gyro spot or struggling to navigate the social etiquette of a mosque fundraiser with Kamala adds the "slice-of-life" humor Kamala fans adore, while giving X-Men fans a deeper look at Scott’s human side.
Kamala Khan suddenly being a mutant is a good thing.

>>1533140233. The Power Play: Polymorph vs. Mutant IdentityThe story should explore the "ugly" side of her powers. Kamala’s original polymorphic abilities (embiggening, stretching) were designed to be "weird" and sometimes unsettling. The Narrative: While the X-Men often have "cool" powers, Kamala’s can be awkward. A story where she helps a young mutant with "monstrous" or non-combat powers find pride in their appearance would resonate with the X-Men's core theme of "mutant and proud" and Kamala’s own journey of self-acceptance.Recommended "Reading" VibeIf you’re looking for this "vibe" in existing comics, check out Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant (2023), co-written by Iman Vellani herself. It does a great job of keeping Kamala’s voice while throwing her into the "Fall of X" era chaos. What do you think is the biggest challenge in balancing her "avenger-style" optimism with the "mutant-style" tragedy?
>>153314050>Unity SquadWho else should be on the team? I don't see Kamala at someone who would be good dealing with tensions between Avengers and X-Men and by that I mean she won't be causing them but I don't think she's the kind of person who would like to see Heroes fighting like the politics of X-Men and Avengers usually do .
>>153314049Yes, maybe now she can finally lose her virginity
>>153314184Why?
>>153313921She only had one sip, so sadly she probably wasn't actually shnookered
>>153314640Why not?
>>153313178Theres no such thing as Kamala fans. Just people who are aware she exists and will use her as a checkmark.
>>153314906Says you, fag
>>153313178Kamala should've been given an origin that didn't tie her to another franchise and was able to stay street level. Her original appeal was that it was an actual well done modernization of a classic-style Marvel character. Her slice-of-life, 'balancing a regular life and super hero life' complete with a supporting cast that weren't (shock!) other super heroes was the main appeal. Throwing her into the Avengers and then making her a Twitter-liberal mouthpiece in Champions ruined the character. All the other shit about making her a mutant just pissed on the corpse.
>>153314974Adding to this Quesada justified House of M wiping out mutants by saying he was sick of creators being lazy with new characters and instead of coming up with an origin for their powers just going 'fuck it, he's a mutant'. Then Kamala comes around and they're just like 'fuck it she's an Inhuman'
>>153315036 Yes but her being an Inhuman never dominated her own life and superhero career half as much as her being a mutant is dominating her life now in the comics.
>>153314962Says the total lack of fucks anyone gives for her character. Hell the desi she was supposedly meant to represent woukd rather cosplay as rogue storm and 90s psylocke then her.
>>153315036>he was sick of creators being lazy with new characters and instead of coming up with an origin for their powers just going 'fuck it, he's a mutant'does that retard not understand that was the whole reason Stan Lee created mutants to do exactly that
>>153315107No, the mutants were littetally just a ripoff off of doom patrol.
>>153313178Unironically something that involves her inhuman side. The biggest problem for kamalafags has been focusing too hard on the mutant stuff to detriment of her setting, support characters, family, ect. While the biggest issue for x-fags is that any X-book about Kamala is all about kamala which was fine for solo minis but gets on their nerves when she is in a team book. Of course after the two Iman books bombed marvel isn't even letting her have minis.
>>153315443 So what about something involving will remaining new Inhumans from when the mist was out who came from Human Society and all that getting into some beef with some mutant pre-existing group or whatever and the thing is tomorrow actually knows some of the new Inhumans from when she actually hanged out with other Inhumans and she's got a legitimate reason to be more critical of the mutants and no not just because the mutants but something like they do have a totally bad but concerning record before they were mutants but she's being paired up with an X-Men hard liner who doesn't give any doubt about by principal you got a side with the mutants or summon along those lines what about that?
>>153315504Punctuation exists, ESL. Use it.
>>153313178A “Kamala Khan finally gets laid” story.
>>153315504What about a story where the remaining new Inhumans, who emerged from human society during the mist outbreak, end up clashing with a pre-existing mutant group? Tomorrow actually knows some of these new Inhumans from when she used to spend time with others of their kind, and she has a valid reason to be more critical of the mutants—not just because they’re mutants, but because they had a troubling record even before gaining their powers. She’s paired with an X-Men hardliner who refuses to give any benefit of the doubt, insisting on siding with the mutants purely out of principle.
>>153315582Much better.
>>153313178We dont have X-men stories to fans of X-men.
>>153315544What?
>>153313768x-men is the setting, marvel would be bankrupt and forgotten without it.
too bad she has plot armor most x stories end up with your favorite character randomly becoming a genocidal psychopath or getting mind controlled into murdering their own family.
>>153314974>Her original appealher "original appeal" was being forced into everything.
>>153317233What?
>>153317144Ah, the old "X-book sales were the only thing that kept Marvel alive in the bankruptcy years" lie. You people are like a cult.
