Like it was probably better for them both, Rusty had to learn to operate without a safety net and Brock could make an honest go at his super spy career; the boys were, as usually is the case when a couple breaks up or simply takes a break, the biggest casualties of the shake-up, but even they managed to land on their feet. Still, they were a fun duo, and breaking those up in VB is kinda rare unless it involves death. Though you could make the argument that ending their codependency puts them at a healthier if less intimate place by the series finale whilst the Monarch and Sheila are still incredibly toxic by the end of it.
