I'm talking title card presentation, end credits, ad breaks; the little details like that.
>>153318610Like about the art direction and graphic design, or just randomly pleasing details? I like the pulpy title cards they did on Danny Phantom.
>>153318930You can talk art direction too, doesn't matter. Grimsburg's backgrounds are GORGEOUS considering it's supposed to be another Fox adult sitcom
>>153318610Most boring answer possible, but I like my cartoons lean in this aspect. Keep openings and end credits simple, no voiced songs, no ad breaks. But also try to be identifiable.Regular Show might be the most extreme example of this, and I love it.
>>153319049Very pretty BG. Credit and title styling is also art direction; I meant to ask whether you were looking for appreciation of that dimension specifically or just any pleasing image. Thanks much for clarifying. Word World’s calligram gimmick is pretty neat.
>>153319509beep the sheep
>>153318610that's actually really awesome
>>153318610chowder's stop motion transition scenes have always been something that stuck with mehttps://youtu.be/vSpcF41_ImYhttps://youtu.be/TAVnWGtW_BAanother show that aired alongside chowder was flapjack, and both oozed with creativity and style. these are the ending cards for flapjack, themed special for every ephttps://youtu.be/7C7PLpvAIQwending credits rarely aired because they would cut straight to commercials BUT i always like seeing the studio logoshttps://youtu.be/i3zEH6TUPow?t=20https://youtu.be/OZz15aFWUeM?t=5https://youtube.com/shorts/tA-971EBd9U>>153318930BTAS had TONS of amazing very simplistic but very stylish title cards they're all collected in the artbookhttps://files.catbox.moe/u3cvdq.webphttps://files.catbox.moe/zcfan5.webphttps://files.catbox.moe/tivbgr.webphttps://files.catbox.moe/wuzurf.webpanother show worth looking into their title cards was adventure time, they even have some banned ones they had to remake for airing, worth looking into. specifically the Enchiridion one. and to add onto title cards, Futurama's opening one liners for each episode, was pretty neatbut damn op this thread should've been better. very happy to see a thread like this but sad for the lack of traction. we need more talk about show design, feel, and style. one show that 100% nails it is Over the Garden Wall. highly recommend it
>>153322015bitch ass catbox is still down, check the link for the BTAS opening title cardshttps://e-hentai.org/s/6acb732ad4/2255732-21
I'll do the opposite. Not a fan of Samurai Jack not having specific episode titles. Makes it hard to look up past episodes unless you have them all memorized in chronological order. Banger ending theme tho https://youtu.be/547Yh9v1mgs
Good idea for a thread, I hope it lasts.I really liked the running gag of ATHF changing the show title, opening and ending credits every season but the actual cartoon stays exactly the same. It gave them an opportunity to be creative with the presentation of the show without really sacrificing anything, and we got some cool songs out of it too.https://youtu.be/JbuBjRywz0E
>>153318610I do love title cards, it brings me joy to see 'em.I liked the aesthetics of the old ones too
>>153323678Adding to this, I really liked some of AT's title cards.
>>153323343there are though, they're just not presented in the show
Molly McGee's title cards are really cute, I'd get especially excited when they'd switch it up with a different focus character taking Molly's place depending on the episode
>>153323694The title cards definitely elevated Adventure Time's coolness factor. Fionna & Cake took a different approach, but one I still find appealing. Always loved Michael DeForge's work, and it's a nice way to identify F&C as its own separate sequel spin-off and not more of the OG series.

>>153318610How can anyone even top that? Amphibia was truly made with love
>>153323755Well would you look at that
>>153324198I like How Invincible's title cards have a theme to them depending on the season and episode (Season 1 gets bloodied, season 2 shatters revealing the a black and blue color scheme referencing his second suit, season 3 has alternate color schemes referencing the alternate Invincibles ending with Viltrumie white/gray, Season 4 shatters the title card again to reference main adventure taking place in space and the destruction of Viltrum).https://youtu.be/ajB1NmqfPpI
>>153324668Damn, I gotta catch up
>>153323694HE FOUGHT A BEARRRRR BIIIILLYYYYYY
>>153318610PLEASE tell me there's a section in the artbook all about this
>>153327490Uhhhh... There's a section in the artbook all about this?
>>153323678When you see that top one in the middle column, RUN AWAY
>>153324383a nice catchy ditty, i approve
>>153331011Yeah... those were my least favorite Tom&Jerry ones
>>153318930Danny Phantom tittlecards feel like poster or comicbook covers.
>>153332861You liked 'em even less than Gene Deitch's?
>>153318610Dexter had great tittle cards.https://youtu.be/etvG8hNjJCg?si=qG70y_3MnG84GZaCPlease ignore later seasons.
>>153334033>Please ignore later seasons. Quit treating stuff in absolutes. The Savino era wasn't ALL bad
