Biggest plot hole in Futurama is Philip fry jr's head wasn't in a jar. How'd Nixon's dog get a jar but the first man on Mars didn't?
>>153323192Maybe he specifically asked not to have his head put in a jar
>>153323192Because he didn't want one?
That's not what "plot hole" means.
>>153323192it accidentally got dunked in acid after his death
Jarring was banned to all post2000 celebrities
>>153323192>>153323245Correct it's a logical gap, which can be a plot hole but isn't always.
>>153323192Jarring was only exclusive to real celebrities
>>153323214>>153323216>Maybe he specifically asked not to have his head put in a jar>Because he didn't want one?How the hell do you know?
>>153323192Seeing how Fry II died at the tail end of the 21st century and how placing the deceased heads in a jar was most likely a new concept around that time, Fry II probably signed a will to not have his head placed in a jar and would rather have his entire body left intact when he passes away, or possibly his family made wishes not to disturb his resting place. Take note that he was buried in a grave at a floating cemetery in space, with that type of technology during his time, jarring was probably already a thing. Assuming they didn't exhume his grave on Earth and rebury him in that space cemetery.
I'd also note that some other celebs probably never got jarred if they got cremated. Unless they have the technology to collect their ashes and reform their heads, assuming their ashes weren't scattered all over the place.
>>153323797>>153323822What about all the jarred celebrities we see that died hundreds of years even before the present?
>>153323797>>153323822According to the wiki head jar technology was invented some time in the 23rd century so a full 200 years give or take after fry jr died in 2100. If the fry family did say they didn't want jr's head preserved and brought back to life I think it was a huge mistep considering since it seems like nobody even remembers him or brings up that fry is clearly where Philip fry jr got his name from like Amy's from Mars and fry went to college on Mars and nobody brings that up. You'd think there'd be a statue of him in new new York or something
>>153323192Futurama has more relevant inconsistencies than one that can easily be explained as "he requested to be buried" and had his decision respected.
>>153323667How do you?
>>153323667>How the hell do you know?how the hell do you know that he didnt
maybe he died via head explosion
>>153324445>how the hell do you know that he didntBecause he died 200 years before head technology was even a thing

>>153325065>>153324620There's these new things called CLONES maybe you should watch the show and figure out that they fucking cloned those people, you fucking retard!
>>153326548But clones wouldn't have all the memories and knowledge of what the individual they were cloned from had. It's like, if you had a tiny Hitler or something...
>>153323192Could be that he has one but Fry never noticed?
>>153327159Never noticed or was too dumb to find it.
>>153323667because he's not a head in a jar, dumbassit's the future, not russia
>>153323192The head jars were comedic anon

>>153323192A wizard did it
The answer is that heads in jars were just vessels to allow jokes using modern day celebrities. It's not a series to get hung up on in this regard, see all the inconsistencies made for the sake of jokes - wheels being lost technology despite clearly being present before, Star Trek being a forbidden phrase despite the numerous open Star Trek references prior, LA being a post apocalyptic wasteland for only that one episode, and so on.
>>153329971>LA being a post apocalyptic wastelandThe joke is it's not a post apocalyptic wasteland at all, it's just regular LA
>>153323192How is George Washington's head in a jar? His head isn't a jar NOW let alone 1000 years
>>153330100>>153326187
>>153323667bigger plothole is how do they have head jars for people who died long before the series even started, like george washington.>maybe they cloned himwhy would they clone just his head.
>>153324382>You'd think there'd be a statue of him in new new York or somethingwell there was a statue of him in the sewers of old new york. which I've never fully understood the logic of the entire city being destroyed, but also somehow winding up underground, the mutants not living there, or the fact that the cryogenics lab was apparently the only building that wasn't destroyed.though I guess that can be answered by the fact that it was bender who destroyed the city, so maybe he just didn't destroy the building he knew fry was in.
>>153327159>>153327739you'd think the professor would have mentioned something about it, since he was already aware of fry jr, and presumably must have known that he himself was related to the first man on mars. I know the real answer is that this is just lore that didn't exist when the show first aired, but the inconsistencies can be glaring.
>>153330922The Professor's forgotten more things than he ever knew!
