I cried watching that scene. Again. What about you? Sometimes I wonder if this was actually the best possible ending, considering that the fourth one ruined everything. They could have stayed in the attic and waited for Andy to meet a girl and have some kids with her.
>>153339781Does someone have that image with andy beating the crap out of bonnie for losing woody?
>>153339814Based>>153339781True story: I watched this when I was 11 years old. I always liked the first two movies, and when I saw the ending, for some retarded reason, I had a crying fit, lol. And I remember not watching the third one because of that ending.
>>153339781I saw a video months ago that said the ending of this movie is actually misinterpreted at no point is the message of "leaving childhood behind for adulthood" is conveyed, at least not directly as is often claimed. And it turns out that if it were up to Andy, the toys wouldn't have been donated it was actually pressure from his mother, and in the end, it was Woody who chose to donate them, not Andy. Anyway, Toy Story 3 always seemed a bit distant from the other films, lacking much continuity.
>>153339930Isn't there a scene in the fourth movie where he's walking down the road at that annoying fork in the road, and Woody ends up slipping up and saying they should go back to Andy? He never wanted to leave him, and it seems to me that he still considers Andy his owner and even gets sad talking about it. If that theory about Woody being a gift from Andy's father is true, maybe that explains Woody's obsession.
>>153340029We don't count TS4 as canon.
>>153340124This. It's not canon
>>153339781This ending never sat well with me. Andy kept those toys because Woody was given to him probably by his mother or a grandparent because it's a 50's toy. It was an heirloom in itself. He probably wanted to keep all those toys for his own children and share those memories and stories. Andy was guild-tripped by his own toys to give them away. He has no childhood heirlooms to pass onto his own children due to the selfishness of his toys not wanting to sit around. They could have been free in the attic to play and do whatever they want. They chose to leave behind their child for another one because they cannot live without having attention on them.

>>153339781>"You did WHAT with Woody!?"
>>153340459Hahahahahahaha
>>153340301Ironically, Woody regretted it! What a fool! By staying with Bonnie, he was ignored more than ever before and even forgotten in the closet... He'd be better off going to college.
>>153339930>I saw a video months ago that said the ending of this movie is actually misinterpretedsomething something death of the author
>>153340711What???
>>153340459>I lost him. I lost your stupid fucking toy. Did you think I owed you something. That I was going to carry your little trinket like some kind of trophy. Maybe, and hear me out on this, if Woody meant so much to you you should have put it in a museum instead the hands of a kid like me. Googley eyes and a plastic spork mean more to me than your lame broke back mountain toy.
>>153340781Andy Bros? Our answer??
>>153340301This
Honestly, I'm extremely bothered that this 5th movie will be worse than the 4th.
>>153341493And that retarded theory that Andy would come back in this 5th movie and take them back? lol The movie will be about Jessie so I'm not even going to watch it.
>>153339781why did he give his toys to a kid who already had a bunch instead of someone who didn't
>>153341614supposedly because Woody thought Bonnie would take good care of them, but they were miserably wrong.
>>153341548Unlikely
>>153341548How old would he be in this movie? Around 30 years old?
>>15334258331
Instead of making those shorts in Bonnie's room, they could make shorts of Andy in college and how Woody, even indirectly, reacted to all of that. I think it would be interesting, maybe even showing Andy talking to some girls or something.
>>153343758The problem is exactly this: what would the toys do in the attic? And how long would it take for Andy's possible family to return? All the toys except Woody wanted to get out. Even Buzz chose that.
>>153343829? Didn't you watch the first few minutes of the third movie?? Woody literally says that in the attic there were some things they could do, like games, the TV, etc It wouldn't be like they couldn't do absolutely anything.
>>153343882To live like that for 5 consecutive years? Congratulations, genius! You guys didn't watch the damn movie and are stuck in some gay sentimentality. Woody chose to leave for that exact reason: staying in the attic was a terrible idea and nobody wanted to.
>>153343926>terrible ideaCheckmate, faggot. As another guy said here, the toys got their comeuppance because they thought they were going to live what they lived with Andy, only for one of them to be LOST and replaced by technology haha and the trailer for this awful 5th movie shows the toys in boxes in the garage, you missed it.
>>153343998>semantically copeI accept your concession
>>153343926>To live like that for 5 consecutive years? And why is that a bad idea? You're treating toys like humans they don't need to eat, poop, or pee In fact, it would be even better because they would be free to talk and walk around there are cards, board games, and everything else.

>>153339781fucking really?honestly one of the gayest, cloying and least real moments in a pixar movie.
>screenplay by Michael ArndtTS3 had the writer from Little Miss Sunshine
>>153346465What are you talking about?
>>153346369Cope
>>153346666
>>153339930One of the versions of TS3 was a trip to Mexico where they even find pirated versions of Buzz and a romance with Jessie and Buzz. It wasn't the best script of all, but I think it would work as TS3 and the 3 we have as 4. At least between TS2 and TS3, the events of TS2 and TS3 are so disconnected that it seems strange to me.
>>153346699Is this good or le bad?
>>153346758Definitely good
>>153346904Do you think 4 and 5 will be bad because of politics or because of the crappy writers? We had a thread from a guy who posted one of the alternate versions of TS4 about Bo Peep in a doll shop and it looked interesting, but the women at Pixar said it was sexist.
We can all agree that TS2 holds up much better than the other second installment of 1999
>>153348520Wait.. what?
>>153340459>andy is acting like this because he suddenly has severe autism>bonnie is also autistic
>>153339781Biggest mistake was giving away his toys. Storing them in the attic would have been better for both Andy & the toys. That way once he got married & had kids, the kids would have had those toys, & the toys would have been happy. The cycle would have repeated for the next generation. But nope, we got this ending instead.Stinky Pete is proven right every time with every new TS movie.
>>153349020See>>153343926
>>153343926>staying in the attic was a terrible idea and nobody wanted to.And now look what happened? Now Bonnie doesn't want to play with her toys. The toys & Andy's plans have completely backfired. Staying in attic would have sucked, but at least they would have been together. Woody wouldn't have lost his voice box & Andy's children would have played with those toys..
>>153349151We don't know that
