Any opinions on this show? I'm the same one who started the Robot Monkey thread. I've just been in a Jetix mood lately and Pinky and the Brain was my favorite show on Jetix as a kid alongside Pucca and Yin Yang Yo. It's still impressive how satirical this show is for a kids show. It felt quite intelligent. I kind of want to say that atleast to an extent, it gives off a vibe that it was made with adults in mind.

I also didn't watch Animaniacs till years later, so I was shocked when I looked up Pinky and the Brain on wikipedia and found they came from Animaniacs.

It certainly has a lot of material for adults, from contemporary pop culture to politics, plenty that children wouldn't understand (I remember the Winnie The Pooh parody where they had Al Gore Eeyore and as a non american kid had no idea who he was or what was supposed to be funny).

I think as a kid what I appreciated was the basic goofiness of Pinky, the violence on him from Brain, and the certain "edge" the show had considering he's actually a villain we get to see fail every episode. Wasn't too typical.
