You are tasked with running cartoon network and to revitalize the channelHow do you do it?
the channel is dead forever as nobody that isn't a boomer or lives with boomers has cable. it'd be a fruitless effort, I don't think it would survive a standalone streaming service so maybe I'd have Hulu or Tubi have a section for the shows.
>>153344550Acquire a bunch of Action and French cartoons and just play those instead.
>>153344550Kids cartoons are dead
>>153344668Kids won't watch those either. Anons are almost as out of touch as execs. They believe kids will watch the same shit they did in their youthKids are watching streamers and brainrot.
>>153344550Let it shrivel up and die
>>153344550Honestly? The network just needs a stronger identity. Nickelodeon came out guns-ablazing with that jingle, bright orange iconography, messy green slime- hell, they monopolized the childrens' equivalent of the Oscars. Disney Channel gave kids pop stars and idols to look up to, they're always on top of tween social trends and they've got the entire Disney catalog keeping them alive. What does Cartoon Network have? It's sterile, corporate, impersonal marketing. It doesn't have shit that kids want. Kids like music, they like play. CN has tech branding but kids into that sort of thing aren't watching CN, they're playing video games. Where's the programming? Everything but Gumball and TTG is moral fantasy crap or gross-out kids humor. Look at what kids want, look at what kids are watching. Broadcast some movies. Broadcast streaming hits. Rerun classics. Make your IP matter.
>>153344550Invest in more shows like pic rel
>>153344550Well the brand still has a ton of value.I think I'd try to partner with an existing streaming service that already has some popular cartoons. They would set up a Cartoon Network section in their streaming service and all cartoons on the platform would get grouped under the Cartoon Network section so they can exploit the brand.I would try to cobble together as many of the old Cartoon Network shows as possible to appeal to nostalgiafags. Then I'd go for any other cartoons I can get my hands on.And I would set up a few special streams that act like cable tv with a curated timetable of shows, but with a live chat so people could hang out. I bet that would be popular. Maybe they could even vote on the next show.
>>153344550Do a pilot program for originals that is also a reality TV show
>>153344701Here's the secret to get kids to watch. Are you ready?Make it free.Kids love Twitch, Tiktok, Youtube, and Fortnite because they don't have to go through their parents to access it.It was the same in our generation. We played shitty flash games and Runescape because they were free. Didn't matter that they were trash.
>>153344550I fund a Luddite terrorist group to destroy all streaming companies and the internet in general.
>>153344701>Matt Braly: Why does nobody watch cartoons anymore?>Also Matt Braly:
>>153344550Replay all of the original shows from when 2 Stupid Dogs released to before CN Real killed everything.
>>153344550Channel, i'm not sure if possible given that tv is mostly dead. Even kids that still watch cartoons just go straight to youtube or netflix or whatever. As a brand. Just produce more shows, brah. And also have some variety. Have like 4 or so comedy shows, have some action shows for boys to shill action figures (or video games or whatever). Something somewhat feminine that boys can also watch (like PPG or even SU). Obligatory DC cartoon, must induce kids into buying comics. Even a lorefaggotry cartoon like AT. Keyword is variety.
>>153346444trips don't lie
>>153344550Shut down TV broadcasting. Pivot to licensing content for streaming services and funding new cartoons, and also merchandise.
>>153344550I reboot HHPAY
>>153346036>>153346385I'd do the special cable-like streams for free. That would act like an advertisement for all your other shows, and it would draw people into the platform.
>>153344550How many of you actually tune in an watch the channel?
Go all in on being the edgier cartoon channel. For Christ's sake, they already air adult swim at 5 in the fucking afternoon. There's no reason to still be making toddlerslop for CN proper. I'm talking TV-PG (possibly light TV-14) cartoons with violence, mild swearing, drinking, etc. CN sanitized itself so much that it made crap that no self respecting kid would ever be interested in.What kind of kid would watch Craig of the Creek or The Fungies?
>>153348086I don't have cable, kek. I watch the free streaming channels on my Roku and whatever's on Tubi. Beavis and Butthead is always on
>>153348217>What kind of kid would watch Craig of the Creek or The Fungies? The real question is "what kind of parent would restrict their kid to CotC or Fungies" and the answer is a smothering single mother who doesn't let her kid(s) play outside or violent videogames. Creek exists as a replacement for neighborhood play, Fungies is sanded-down hugbox storiesI do wish it would chase the early teen & pre-teen demographics again, but we don't need them to go for Beavis & Butthead. I wanna see more shows like Flapjack or Over the Garden Wall, not tripe like Uncle Grandpa or Infinity Train.
>>153344550The golden age of Cartoon Network was CN City. What did we do to get there? Do that.
>>153348217>>153348914Never watched it myself but I thought more of /co/ liked Craig than not.
I would immediately replace the 23 hour Teen Titans Go bloc with all of their old 90's/00's syndicated episodes, which will revive interest in McCraken/Tartikovsky/Antonnuci productions. From here, we simply revive the series as we have with every other thing on TV, get animation studios to pitch new shows, and things chug along with novelty. We'd have kids-oriented shows from about 6am-2pm, then start into Young Adult, things like Marvel/DC to get the movie fans stirred up. From 7-10pm we'd do Toonami, get people a crack at a bit of cultured works. Then 10-6 is Adult Swim, where Lazzo can continue to shit the bed on his own accord. However this would of course step hard on Lazzo's ego, so he would probably find some way to sabotage it by spreading his cheeks more for Disney/Hulu.
>>153344550simple>revive mao mao season 2>greenlit at least 2-3 cartoon cartoon program shorts for full series>bring back ONE old series that hasn't been rebooted yet. And make sure it isn't a fucking failure like looniversity was (hint hint, galactic kids next door and the billy mandy sequel that the creators wanted to do)>revert the sucky rebrand
>Accept/embrace the fact that you'll always be third place to Nick and Disney and accept/embrace the fact that Adult Swim will always be third place to Comedy Central and Fox>Let Danny/Maxwell/Carl Harvey/Pete/Any SpongeBob vet have new shows, just as long as they promise to give 6-12 year old boys what they want in cartoons (mean spiritedness, gross humour, stupid characters and zero or very few prominent female characters)>Make some new action shows that have flashy, fast paced DragonBall Z style fight scenes>Greenlight The Galactic Kids Next Door Miniseries>Make a Big Pick every year (the winner gets a season)>Greenlit more Total Drama Island and Total DramaRama and More Canadian cartoons aimed at 6-12 year old boys>End Teen Titans Go! (but only after you have at least 3 or 4 original shows airing/making new eps)>Start making stupid/irrelevant/random/episodic/stoner friendly Adult Swim comedies again (like all Pre-Rick and Morty Adult Swim originals)>Greenlight more live action comedies too stupid/irrelevant/random/episodic/stoner friendly for other channels for Adult Swim>Showcase animation docos/pre-YouTube shorts (like Splat! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCox2Aji34Y) and Showcase foreign non-Japanese animation films (like the work of René Laloux)
>>153346745Y'know what? That might work with how much K-Pop Demon Hunters took off
>>153344642why dont they just become their own tubi
>>153344550I'm bringing back cartoon cartoons and just gonna let it run every day before adult swim airs and its just gonna be one time aired pilots made by indie animators, practically no limitsmaybe add a vtuber like Moxy and do a cartoon planet
>>153350532They would have to make it an actual anime, change the character designs to look more mature, and get Jack Black to voice Kaz. But I believe it would truly redeem CN and my friggin childhood.
there's no hope. Kids are all on youtube and streaming. Switching to an older audience, there's not enough western animation fans to be able to survive.
Just make it a copy of the late 90s/2000. Powerhouse bumpers, CCF (Bubbles is hosting again!) it could be 24 hours of reruns. Basically give back my childhood. If you're gonna pander to nostalgia, stop trying to change shit and just give people the same thing they already like.
>>153344701Sad!
>>153344550Just make CN All age again bro like they did in the beginning
>>153345493>What does Cartoon Network have? But seeing has the best cartoons, the coolest characters, 24 hours a day "boom bang bam slap"
>>153346444And then they changed their minds on Hexed
>>153344550Bring back WCW
I know who can bring back cartoon network
>>153350536because they don't need to. if they want to make anything new, they can just put it on paramount or whatever. the better question is why aren't all of their cartoon cartoons on the service. they have a bunch of shit that isn't available anywhere in decent quality.
>>153353069Justin Timberlake?
24 hours of hardcore futa hentai
>>153353156I often wonder how funny you kids who were born in 2008 think comments like this actually are
>>153344550>How do you do it? Fix the logo, for one.
>>153346385Genuinely why don't they do this? You can make plenty of revenue with ads
>>153344550i just think it's a shame they squandered what they had. grew up in the early 90s with stuff like Ducktales and Turtles as well as old Disney/Looney Tunes and i genuinely thought kids were eating really fucking good when stuff like Adventure Time came along. then around 2019 or so everything went super cucked and gay for some reason.
>>153352589yeah it was weird to watch them pitch the network as 'even moms, dads, and grandparents like cartoons!' to slowly but surely laser focusing on the preschool market
>>153353097but then they dont get to keep profits, theyre just syndicating their cartoons for a set fee
>>153353678Is iconic
>>153344701>Studios aren't buying our anti male anti white propaganda anymore and are moving to the Internet. Went from making fun of Zoomers for being broke to now working along side them.
>>153344550>How do you do it?Nothing because unfortunately it wouldn't be possible to remove all jews from it.
>>153344550>No properties left>No production capacity>The only assets are the name and the channel licensesI strip the company for parts and sell everything to the highest bidder. It's over. Move on.
>>153350947Hey tranny, this horrible show flopped when it was new. Would flop even harder returning. Nobody cares about that washed up band before, even less nowadays. It was just a desperate attempt to compete against anime.
