It's funny to me in layers, there's the actual analysis of how it works narratively, how utterly mad she must sound to the others but still sensible from her viewpoint, and again showing Gwen isn't grasping how real this fictional world can be.

It certainly took me by surprise first time but in retrospect I saw the hints laid out with his name.Thanks for storytime OP. Going off the end of last issue I like how Gwen is at least trying. She is aware of at least some of her past mistakes, taking things more seriously and coming up with a plan for once... it's just besides her recklessness Gwen isn't that bright and there's still a self-indulgence to her plan, but at least she has the sense to come up with one and keep everyone informed of it. Even if her view of how things work are still skewed in terms of the fiction vs the reality of how much trouble she'll end up causing, it's the subtle difference of not caring about the NYPD not because people may get hurt but because she doubts the NYPD are really that important. Besides that, I continue to like her interactions with her team, there's funny bits throughout and I especially like our introduction to Sarah without the mask. She's a sweetheart with a great design and interesting hook with her balancing her life outside the mask with the craziness/hyper-awareness of wearing it. It ends with a great setup for Vinnie, his betrayal makes sense given what he wants and how Gwen is completely antithetical to it, and even before the reveal he exudes menace, especially when asking Gwen about her (our) world. Going to see just how weird it gets with him next time.

She was already fond of Cecil and Batroc but this issue in particular she learns more about Tony and Sarah too, and at the end I like how she makes it her goal to 'save her friends' when she shoots Vinnie. This is like a turning point where she starts to think about others besides herself
