I first read half of Invincible several years ago, then reread and finished it after the first season of the show released. It wasn't the best thing ever but it was far more fun and exciting than what the show presents it as. Am i remembering the comic wrong or is the show turning what is a straightforward if violent superhero story into a moody, slow, boring and mundane soap opera in badly animated form?

An episode that should be 22 minutes long is stretched out for nearly an hour, and only 8 episodes per season. With only 4 seasons over the span of 5 years, compared to just reading the whole damn thing it feels like an eternity.But I couldn't imagine reading the actual comic spread out over 15 years either.

Robert Krikman is trying to force the show into being a serious drama with a star-studded cast, but fails to realize what he actually wrote. Nobody gives a fuck about the interpersonal character drama in Invincible because that's the worst part of this story (like when they added the stupid will they won't they with Mark and Eve), the audience really only cares about the fights, the cool sci-fi concepts, and playing on superhero tropes. Robert Kirkman has just completely mishandled this show with his incompetence.
