Hey there anons, I'm the OP from one of the 0004 threads, and I thought it might be nice to discuss Max and Ruby itself and not the shitshow that's going on with the retake itself.I've been a bit hyperfixated with the show since those threads and I've been eager to discuss it with others, so I thought it'd be nice to make a proper thread that's NOT 0004 shitflinging!
Well if you're serious I liked it as a kid/toddler a lot but I don't really know what you wanna discuss about it, or even what I could remember.
>>153350393Does the show hold up?
>>153350432Honestly, yes! The show holds up pretty well nowadays and is good for kids, unlike the slop that they get nowadays. Max and Ruby, Kipper and some other shows are definitely great to rewatch and put on for your kids if you have any
Mika status?
>>153350432>>153350471With how the pacing is rapid fire of all modern animation is today, it's amazing to just be able to have breathe and not always feel whelmed.
>>153350561Honestly, I put it on after a tough day because I can just turn my brain off and watch some cute shit, it always helps me chill (besides smoking a square)
>>153350393Their parents are ugly and I would not fuck them.
>>153350429We can discuss individual episodes, story elements and the characters, there's a few things we can talk about
>>153350653Ehh Mr. Bunny is kinda cute ngl
>>153350653Was it ever explained why their parents were never around?
>>153350432It's a good animated adaptation of the books yes. That is if you can get past Ruby being a bossy sister. But that's siblings in general.
>>153350544He'll be here soon. It's 6am for our friend.
>>153350393I will never forget our state standardized test had us read Max and Ruby part of the exam. Weird I never let that go since it happened in 4th grade and most of my memory is gone to shit from anything before high school.
>>153350694poke
>>153350694
>>153350694Cute fat bnnuy
>>153350694Too much cake!
>>153350739That's pretty cool! I don't think I ever had to do that back when I was a kid but it would have been nice

>>153351093He's Venezuelan, he's probably using a shit vpn
>>153351128That explains the rape
>>153351128>He's VenezuelanWHY ARE THERE SO MANY OF THEM INVOLVED WITH THIS PROJECT??
>>153351124He should get fatter
>>153351161Spics keep Creepypastas alive
Not socializing Fred properly was the real abuse
>>153350393I'm watching episodes of Max and Ruby and this show is actually very pleasant to watch and max is a literal genius misunderstood by his perfectionist sister who usually finds any chance to undermine him because she thinks he's dumber than he truly is (sometimes not even including him in on things but this only gives Max more time to experiment with his toys), Max's patience is actually commendable with how many times they tell him not to do something or go somewhere else which he shrugs off because he knows to be the better rabbit. He gives the characters challenges to overcome with his antics that ruby n' friends typically aren't ready for and then get mad when he completely outplays them with ideas they barely try to hear him out on most of the time so they just try to put him somewhere else (this happens a lot) by himself. if one of Max's ideas or experiments gives ruby n' friends a better outcome than what they were doing before, they act like he was right all along as if they don't doubt his intelligence nearly all the time or shut down his ideas. The visuals are also great and has a charming 80s-90s cartoon art style which fits the nature of the show and its adapted well into the animation which gives a satisfying watching experience.
You know some of you guys really surprise me considering the following events that transpired.I love Max and Ruby btw, even though I barely watch the show it's still really comforting.
This scene by itself is honestly so cutehttps://youtu.be/ay5EGK1k9Nw?si=OQEAbsjdxTTVzKCP
>>153351621It's a comfort show for me since when my older brother Max was hospitalized, they aired Nick Jr and it kept me distracted and not worried. I just got to watch Max and Ruby for 2 hours in their play room and not attempt to comprehend what was going on while my parents were with him. Probably my first memory.
>>153351561Max being a bit of a little shit always makes the episodes fun as well, I always love how cheeky he is
>>153351561can you recommend a episode?
>>153352224The first three are always a good one
>>153352224Season 1 and 2 have many good episodes with the classic feel to it, like max misses the bus has probably the best smug max face and the wormcake episode might be the most iconic one, but even the later season episodes like season 5 and 6 are enjoyable too because the show has a higher quality, introduced more characters and there's just more going on in general
>>153350432yeah is pretty nice
