Do you agree with the decision? I thought he didn't need to die and they didn't tell good stories without him.
>>153351021when it was pointed out to me that the survivors of the snap included all the original avengers roster, my thinking was 'oh, this will be their last adventure, and they will have to sacrifice themselves to get everyone else back, before the actors get too old to play the parts. that could work'instead exactly one of them did that, and the rest of it felt.. ... it felt a lot like they were just shooing out all the white males. like thanks for building the franchise, you can die now.
>>153351021It was a good decision for that movie and that entire storyline of the MCU up to that point. The MCU starts with Iron Man and he brings the curtain down at the end. He makes the sacrifice play that Cap mocks him for in The Avengers. It made good narrative sense. But yeah, it didn't leave them much to work with. Especially with all the other characters they lost. Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Vision (kinda), Black Panther, and probably Hawkeye due to Renner's accident.
>>153351021<admitsWas he contesting it?
>>153351021Was this before or only after robert was was casted as doom?
>>153351231The only ones that we're done was Tony because he died, and Steve because he went back in time, lived the life he didn't get to live, and aged out of being Captain America. Thor got a movie post-Endgame and it was bad, and Marvel continues to misuse Hulk, they easily could've done a movie based on 'Future Imperfect' story with Banner's brain in Hulk's body and the Multiverse, but they wasted the opportunity.
>>153351694Doesn’t Universal still own the rights to solo Hulk movies?
>>153351021Yeah I don't mind, I was getting tired of the Tony wank and how the main Avengers' dynamic was Steve/Tony getting over each other. Honestly, the problem was the Marvel never bothered to build a dynamic like that in the next phases, there are characters from Phase 2 that have not spoken a single word to each other to this day. No wonder they went back to reheat Steve vs Tony again for Doomsday.
>>153351021Fuck no that's retarded.>>153351231Well they also turbokilled Black Widow, no bail, no saving throw, no resurrection ever, apparently.
>>153351503yeah, the whole point should have been 'make room for the x-men and fantastic four'not make room for fucking Falcon
>>153351849What's your Falcon problem, man? Got a stick up your Ant-Man?
>>153351503I think they still could have played their cards better because it wasn't a huge loss as it seems, after Endgame they still had.>Thor>Hulk>Doctor Strange>The entire Guardians of the Galaxy>Scarlet Witch>Spider-Man>Ant-Man>Hawkeye>Bucky>Falcon>War Machine>Captain Marvel>Nick FuryPlus they could have worked faster to bring the Fantastic Four, they could have worked something with this. Losing Wanda was a self inflicted wound, Hawkeye got a whole series before he even suffered the accident, with Black Widow I feel they could have worked better to introduce Yelena with something more substantial on par with Thunderbolts than a less than subpar prequel. The real loss was Chadwick passing away.
>>153351021Does it really matter tho? RDJ is still coming back anyway
>>153351021>Do you agree with the decision? I don't really care on way or the other.
>>153352903>The entire Guardians of the GalaxyReal Gamora was turbodead like Black Widow.
